This is an extension of a FR submitted to my portal for InventortInsight - FR150.
Would it be possible for you to do one or all of the following:
A) Add your control to the default ItemTooltips/PopupTooltips which indicates whether the trait on an item is known to the currently logged in character.
B) Add your control to a corner of the Grid View InventorySlots which indicates whether the trait on an item is known to the currently logged in character. (similar to that shown in the list view)
C) Expose and document a function in Research Assistant which would return a bool representing whether the passed item's trait is known to the currently logged in character.
I don't have any plans for including the feature this user requested for InventoryInsight as I believe the job is done quite well in Research Assistant and I don't like to reinvent the wheel, if you will. :)
With that being said, when used in combination with Grid View, you miss out on a couple of the nice features in this addon. A middle ground between what InventoryInsight does and what Research Assistant does could be very convenient.
