I switched rom the old Research Buddy to RB2 when 1.6 showed up. The new features are nice, but having a dropdown menu in the default bar gets a bit obstructive. I would like to suggest a setting in the addon's options that hides/removes the character dropdown menu and leaves the rest, therefore making the default bar "shorter" in width. Call it a "Research Buddy Classic" display style for the bar.
And maybe compress the "researches in progress" window for width as well.
