    This addon depends on the following libraries:
    LibAddonMenu-2.0

    ATTENTION: CHECK YOUR CURRENT ADDON'S SETTINGS BEFORE UPDATING TO THE NEW VERSION 0.22:
    The SavedVariables were changed to save per server now and thus they will reset.
    You need to redo the few settings again after login!
    Have at least a look at your current threshold values and colors so that you are easily able to reset them.


    Do you remember that moment as you find a nice chest somehwere but then you realize that you don't have any lockpicks left in your pocket?
    And the next moment some other player appears and loots this chest right in front of you?
    Picking a lock is sometimes frustrating and you want some help?

    This simple addon gives you the possibility to colorize the "lockpicks left" information that you see at the bottom line, if you are lockpicking a chest.
    The colors can be changed according to a number of lockpicks that you have left in your inventory (threshold values).
    The next chest you will lockpick will give you the visual information now, if you need to get some new lockpicks to your pocket.

    In addition the addon is able to show you visual helpers during your lockpicking:
    • A green check icon will be shown each time a chamber of the current lockpick progress was picked and you need to release your mouse button!
    • You are able to colorize the lock's springs green as they get resolved.

    Supports keyboard and gamepad mode.

    After installing the addon please visit the settings menu (ESC -> Settings -> AddOn settings) and configure it there to your needs!

    Out of date is just a text comparison between the servers function returned value GetAPIVersion() (currently 100029) and the addon#s txt file FCOLockPicker.txt -> tag ## APIVersion: 1000xx

    If the numbers differ the game says it is out od date what does not mean it does not work anymore.
    Just change the addon's txt file tag ## APIVersion
    to the current game's API version and it does not say it's outdated anymore (but it stil lcould be broken!).
    Or just enable ingame in the addon manager the checkbox "Allow ou of date addons" at the top right edge and the game does not do this nonsense comparison anymore!

    It's just a problem imo and does not check if an addon "is working or not" but only compares a text if it equals
    And we are not able nor willing to update EACH of about 100 addons just because the APIversion changes, if everthing works fine.

    If the addon is not working with all other addons disabled, and it shows ingame with the settings menu properly AND the settings menu version is the one you see at www.esoui.com as well, then you eithr are cursed or I do no know what to check else.

    I figured it out. What had happened is that when I originally had installed this I just installed it and it worked but the more I kept reading about this addon the more I started to think there may be settings now and sure enough there it was as the last item in the list for turning them green and it was off. As soon as I saw that I knew what was happening and I turned it on and I hit a chest where it worked once again.

    Is there a reason this is listed as out of date?

    I did not meant to change the file as I cannot tell you what happens then
    I meant to find it with the most up 2 date change date and time and check which folder it is.
    I thought you had the addons in the wrong directory and thus updated them but the ingame addons were different ones, outdated maybe.

    I'm sorry but I cannot tell you what to do else.
    If the addon is not working with all other addons disabled, and it shows ingame with the settings menu properly AND the settings menu version is the one you see at www.esoui.com as well, then you eithr are cursed or I do no know what to check else.

    For me it still properly shows the green check mark texture and it colores the springs green too.
    Sorry, I'm not sure what's the problem here for you.

    Are you sure you update the correct addons folder?
    Are you using Microsoft OneDrive?
    Try to search for the file AddonSettings.txt and find the AddOns folder below.

    edit: As a last resort I removed the addons, and the saved variables, folders and did a game repair then reinstalled this addon and the library it needs but this addon just refuses to work for me any longer.

    No it works flawlessly for me.
    The needed library is linked in the descriptions: LibAddonMenu-2.0
    Be sure you got this installed standalone and enabled as well.

    I recommand using Minion addon manager (32bit version) to install and upate the libraries as well, just like addons!
    Try to install and use "Votans addon list" as it enables automatically the needed dependencies/libraries for you if you enable an addon in the addon manager.


    Does it work if you disable all other addons and only this addon + needed libraries?

    If it works without other addons enabled try to find out which other addon makes this addon tos top by enabling the other ones once after another again.
    Yuu can use an addon profile addon like Circonians Addon Selector to help you build test profiles.

    Kudos to you for this addon! I've always loathed (i.e. been completely useless at) Elder Scrolls lockpicking - whether in Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim - so this is indeed a godsend.
