I've retired from ESO and I am relying on code contributions for maintenance: GitHub Repo

A continuation of Atropos' Foundry Tactical Combat. This is an updated version of Demiknight's patch. The change log has more info, main changes below:

Added the option to show @names in place of character names when in a group (shown in the attached image) or when targeting someone.

Added a keybind for refreshing the group frame. Despite the addon's attempts to the contrary, sometimes it will fail to load a group member(s). This will force an unobtrusive refresh so that you don't have to /reloadui to fix it.

Added the ability to disable healing logs/text out of combat or at all times. Individual options for combat log and scrolling text.

Solinur updated buff tracking.

So, when I installed the plugin, All of the health bars, mana, and stamina bars are empty. It displays the values, but nothing else. Is that normal? How can I fix it?

Raid frames for 4-man groups

I have used the raid frames for 4-man content for years but a recent update has made it no longer appear for groups smaller than 5. I had done this by simply turning off both default frames and small group frames. I'm not sure what changed, if it was intentional or not, and whether this has already been asked. But is it possible to enable this use-case once more?

Align Combat Log

Thank you for maintaining this addon. I primarily use this for the separate Combat Log window.

Is there a way to align the text in window to the right? What file would I need to edit and lines of code to add for this customization.

No the language files are what the authors use to display text in other languages for the settings menu. It's not what makes the game provide support for any language. The two are not remotely the same thing.

I'm going to ask you to post something like the following

I play in English or Chinese

To get me all that information do the following in this exact order

1. Activate all the mods you want to use, all of them. Do not activate only FTC like you would normally when troubleshooting things.
2. /debuglogger stack on
3. /debuglogger level debug
4. /debuglogger clear
5. /reloadui
6. Type the text that doesn't work into the chat window like I show above. BUT... Put YOUR text that is not working. Not my example text.
7. take a screen shot
8. /reloadui
9. go to: https://sir.insidi.at/or/logviewer/ and drag and drop the LibDebugLogger.lua into the window and provide me the link

I appreciate your reply and I understand what youre saying but I don't think its a font issue. I think that it might be the addon doesnt support the language thats being typed in this case I believe its chinese. Im not an addon author so I have no clue what it takes so let me also say I love this addon. Have used it forever and its a small issue that doesnt stop me from doing anything in the game. Its just something I noticed and thought Id mention it. When I open FTC files and look under lang folder I see only 3 files: de.lua, en.lua, fr.lua. Would this be the reason? Again this is more of a curiosity than anything else so please feel free to focus on the important things. Keep up the great work. Fantastic addon.

I can't change any game fonts that come with the game so even if the game font doesn't have the character or the glyph you need I can't do anything about that.

This mod does not alter fonts or the chat window. ApoAlaia provided the characters however I was able to load the game and use the characters provided without issue.

Because whether or not this is the mod that is loaded when the issue occurs there is nothing that the mod does to specifically change fonts for chat. It simply uses the ESO fonts provided by the game.

Set the keybind as mentioned on the description page to refresh the unit frames.

It's something on your end. I can copy paste those chars into guild chat or whisper myself. I don't normally troubleshoot things like that anyway because it's too obscure. People think oh well if I tell an author they must have seen this issue at some point and know some kind of random obscure way to resolve it. I don't.

My chat box is showing a bunch of boxes in lieu of text in game. I finally narrowed it down to this addon and found it does this instead of foreign language lettering. Is there a way to fix this that Im just not seeing? Obviously not a priority but doesnt hurt to ask.

I'm glad it's working. When I was trying to figure out which version you had the only version that tried to join strings on line 105 was 1.23.

There are about three things I fixed in that after digging around. When I mentioned not to get back to me at a specific time I wasn't thinking in the next five minutes. However, if you can get back to me this evening or tomorrow that would be nice.

Test with the version at that link. Make sure you unzip that and copy the subfolder FoundryTacticalCombat to Addons. Don't overwrite the old folder please.

Don't worry about getting back to me at a certain time or making an effort to get people to group with you to test that. Just play like you would normally. Please try to play without using the keybind to update the group. I don't do that and I just let the game do its thing. I just looked after I posted this and what a previous contributor used for the refresh is probably overkill.

As you are doing things, what are you doing? Speed run solo in X dungeon and two people are fishing. 3 People in group and you have two companions showing but you are in combat and they aren't. Just so I can see if I can get it to happen for me. Because I have been trying to test several things and I'm not really getting any errors.

Just remember, it's not class specific. Nothing where you have 3 Arcanists and it is fine. Then with 2 or 4 it isn't. There is nothing about the mod that cares about the class except when getting the class icon for the unit frame.
Done and done, I'll keep playing in my usual manner, complete with chaos and let you know if anything crops up error wise, if nothing shows up after a week safe to assume ya done fixed it like the wonderful magic coder you are
