Used a research scroll (the "All Research" that you get via the level up adviser) to reduce research the character has the ability to research 3 of Blacsmithing, Woodworking and Clothing as well as Jewelry, all of which were being done).
One of the items finished researching as a result of using the scroll. However it caused an error to appear. It did not seem to affect anything once I dismissed the error.
The error shows as:

Error when using an All Research scroll that causes a researched item to complete
