This started as a simple mod that allowed you to place a little marker on your items so you could remember to not accidentally sell or deconstruct them.

With Item Saver 3.0.0.0, that simple functionality is extended with some awesome new features:
  • Choose whether items are saved in general or uniquely - Save multiple stacks of the same item or give duplicates their own sets!
  • Choose to filter marked items from any combination of vendors, the deconstruction list, the research list, the guild store tell tab, the send mail window, and the trading window.
  • Create as many different sets of items as you like, all with their own save type, marker texture, color, and filtering rules.
  • Add your own marker textures to use for Item Saver sets (details below).

Full feature list:
  • Create a new item set with the "+ Create Set" context menu option.
  • Choose your set's name, save type, marker, color, and filters.
  • Choose your default save set.
  • Keybind for saving items to the default set.
  • Choose one of nine possible marker positions.
  • Item sets are listed in a submenu when right clicking an item.
  • The context submenu can be deferred until there are more than a specified number of sets created (1 - 5).
  • Edit created sets. Any changes will update immediately without needing a UI reload.
  • Quickly clear all items from a set.
  • Delete sets you no longer need.

Item Saver features an API for other addons to integrate with Item Saver's functionality. The full Item Saver API is listed here:

The new API for adding marker textures takes its inspiration from Inventory Grid View's skins and Advanced Filters' dropdown filters.

There are code examples in the markertextures folder in Item Saver's root directory.

You may submit your markers as plugins for Item Saver on ESOUI.
Do this by:
  1. Go to http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info300-ItemSaver.html (this page).
  2. Click on "Other Files" between "Change Log" and "Comments"
  3. Click on "Upload Optional Addon"
  4. Enter all relevant information and attach a .zip file containing the folder that contains your plugin.
  5. Submit

The archive hierarchy should look something like:

While there appears to be tons and tons of redundancy in my addon profile, the truth is each addon is subtly unique and the unique features of each plays a role in how I manage my ESO experience.
There was/is a similar problem when Inventory Grid View is combined with other addons that register inventory update functions. When switching to a smaller bag size the game checks over every item in your inventory to make sure their slotIndex is not outside of the bounds of your max space (assuming you wouldn't be over the new maximum anyway). If there are lots of actions set to run on single slot updates, the all compound into a spammy mess when this action is taken.

It can be frustrating, I know. However this problem will essentially solve itself in 1.6 when switching horses and reducing max bag size will no longer happen.
LoL - you are right!!! I am amped for the mounted skills of update 6. My main on first copy had a 50 carrying capacity and 43 speed. awesomeness.

Be aware of the following:
There is a CTD error when switching to a horse with a smaller carrying capacity.
I have narrowed this error down to three addons and the compatibility between them.

Not sure how Randactyl could do this, as technically the item even though improved is a brand new item.

Might be possible if check for improvement window open when item is destroyed and new one with same name created and put into inventory?

mark dissapear if i improve the item, can you change this behavior? to keep mark if items change the color

Hi,
that's not as much work as you think, and in fact you can do it for me! It is something that the authors of the other addons have to do - they need to create a global API for their addon, so that InventoryInsight can call upon it. It would be great if you got in touch with them and asked them about this. Nifty would be a function like

AddonName.SaveItem(x64 uniqueItemCode)
or AddonName.SaveItem(bagId, slotId)

Yeah, report this to the author of Advanced Autoloot. Point them in the direction of Item Saver's description and the ItemSaver_IsItemSaved(integer bagId, integer slotIndex) function

This error is because ZO_Character has unnamed child. In my opinion it should be fixed in ItemSaver rather then in GearSwap.
Anyway, I have defined names for label and button in GearSwap, so it should work now. Download link for GearSwap is still the same.

Proposed fix for ItemSaver - replace function RefreshEquipmentControls with:
Lua Code:
  1. local function RefreshEquipmentControls()
  2.     for i=1, ZO_Character:GetNumChildren() do
  3.         local child = ZO_Character:GetChild(i)

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what, but even when I have an item marked as saved, and I use Advanced Autoloot to mail off stuff, it's sending those items. Is this working as intended, or do I have something setup incorrectly?
