I want the Stolen Rule set as Never Loot to totally ignore stolen items and allow other addons that only deal with stolen items to be able to process them through EVENT_LOOP_UPDATED after MSAL leaves them alone. Currently, (the place where I test-steal from) has a lot of Lorkan's Tears and other level waters in the containers. With MSAL set to never loot stolen and alchemy set to never loot, it still picks up the stolen waters -even with the ShouldLoot*() fixes. I found that having Considerate mode turned on was the reason that the waters were still getting picked up.

There are some looting addons that use node names to differentiate resource nodes from other containers, which is usually very accurate, but doesn't work correctly in other language environments. I, on the other hand, want my addon to work correctly in all languages (even not officially supported) for all functions, and thus do not take such an identification approach. This may lead to some inaccuracies, but I will continue to improve it while sticking to my principles. Thanks again for your feedback!

Just a note: I'm not quite sure what isResourceNode is used for, but the detection algorithm seems to need some fine tuning. It is reporting "isResourceNode: false" in debug for a jewelry resource node that has
* Pulverized Titanium * Platinum Dust in it. I presume it is not recognizing the Pulverized Titanium as possible content of a resource node. |

I am not using names to differentiate either. It is true that MSAL is considering these containers as resource nodes according to debug but I'm not sure why when there are other things in there too. (Actually, I'm not looking for/at resource nodes at all since you can't steal from them.)

MSAL does not stop when disabled?
In the /msal command function, the value for db.enable gets changed but it seems that the MSAL_LOOT_UPDATED always only gets registered no matter what db.enable gets set to. Shouldn't it unregister when db.enable gets set to false?

Re: MSAL does not stop when disabled?
When db.enable is false, OnLootUpdated returns directly at the method entry. I don't think this makes much difference from unregistering it, but maybe it's not a good esoui style implementation. I might improve it by the way in the next update

Considerate Mode Not Destroying
Correct me if I am wrong but regarding considerate mode with auto-close loot window, I think I found an issue with the loot window being closed and unregistering the MSAL_UNWANTED_UPDATE event before it could be called so no items are being destroyed. Tested with no other addon loaded. If considerate mode loots everything, the loot window will be closed automatically anyway. Maybe there is some way you can avoid manually closing the loot window to avoid this or change where or when MSAL_UNWANTED_UPDATE is being unregistered.

Can't access all settings options
Hi,
In some of the settings, the dropbox with options falls behind the border of the sub-window, making several setting options inaccessible. Also, I'd like to make reward boxes NOT auto-loot but I can't seem to find a way to do that. By reward boxes, I am referring to the coffers you get as reward for crafting dailies and completion of quests. Would you please tell me how to do this? Thanks! |

Re: Can't access all settings options
Regarding the other issue, sorry MSAL doesn't have the option to provide an exception rule for crafting daily containers. This is because the addon can't tell what is being looted. Using only the API provided by the game, the addon can't even distinguish whether you are currently looting a container or a bunch of monster corpses. There are some tricks to implement these features, sure, but that's not in the current plans for the addon. One solution I would suggest is to have a keybinding for MSAL in Addon Keybings. That way you can quickly switch MSAL on and off when looting the crafting daily container.

Individual items and conditional closing of loot window
Can individual items be set for looting? Aetherial Dust is a provisioning ingredient, and I want to loot it, but I don't want to loot most provisioning ingredients. I also do not want the Aetherial Dust to be destroyed by being an unwanted item when using Considerate Mode.
Can the loot window be set to close when empty? Looting the remaining items manually results in the window closing and going back to the inventory menu, and when choosing to leave some behind, ALT can be pressed to close the window and go back to the inventory. If the addon loots all the items, the loot window stays open and empty, and I cannot press ALT to go back to the inventory, but instead have to press I to open it, which causes new items to no longer be marked as new.

Re: Individual items and conditional closing of loot window
I didn't quite understand the other question you asked. When a container is empty, it should close automatically, no matter if it's from overland or the backpack, either looted manually or with MSAL. Auto-close Loot Window in General Settings may help. Or check if there are any other addons preventing the loot window from closing |

The Aetherial Dust option is a great addition, thank you!
