Is this master writ worth doing?


Most writs consume less than 1000g worth of materials for each writ voucher they return. But some consume 2000g+ materials per voucher and might not be worth doing.

Shopping guild stores for Master Writs? What is the per-voucher cost of a writ, including both materials and purchase price?

This add-on adds text to each Master Writ's tooltip, showing the total material cost, purchase price (if any), and the cost per writ voucher reward.

WritWorthy adds a filter to sirinsidiator's AwesomeGuildStore. Lets you filter on the WritWorthy-calculated cost per voucher, which includes both material and purchase cost.

Not interested in writs that you cannot craft?

This add-on shows big red warnings when writ requires a motif, trait, or recipe that the current character does not yet know.

It also shows orange warnings for missing skills that are not required, but which reduce the cost of expensive writs, such as Resin Expertise.



(No, WritWorthy does not check inventory for required materials, or space to hold the the crafted item. I assume a master crafter can handle their own inventory management.)

WritWorthy adds a material list to a writ's tooltip, showing any missing materials in red.

There is an option to show only missing materials if you don't want to waste half of the tooltip box listing materials you already have.

Type /writworthy mat to show a list of materials required to craft all queued writs. Show all required materials, or just the few that you lack and need to acquire.

Want to craft it automatically?


  1. Bind a key to "Show/Hide WritWorthy" or type /writworthy in chat.
  2. Use that key binding to see a list of all Sealed Master Writs in the current character's inventory.
  3. Check the ones you want to craft automatically next time the character visits the appropriate crafting station. Or "Enqueue All" if you want to craft them all.
  4. "Sort by Station" to see which crafting stations you need to visit.
  5. Walk up to a station, 'E' interact, and watch Dolgubon's LibLazyCrafter make your items.
  6. Wait patiently while the automatic crafting occurs. If you cancel interaction while still auto-crafting, you might end up auto-crafting an item twice, wasting materials. There is no indication for "all done". Sorry.
  7. Once you have crafted items for your writs, you can open them, accept their quest, and the quest will automatically advance to "Turn in".

Automatic crafting requires that the appropriate cost-reduction skills have been maxed out: Temper Expertise, Chef, Brewer, or Chemistry.

HomeStationMarker tells you where to go



WritWorthy can use HomeStationMarker to show markers over the stations that you need to visit in order to craft queued master writs.

Main page won't load

can someone tell me why I can't get the main page to load? I have uninstalled and re-installed, deleted saved variables, made sure all required addons are up to date and still can not get the main page to open.

First off: I love this addon, great work!

I tried jewelry writs, so i bought this one:


Mats Costs are estimated about 120k. I have TTC, MasterMerchant and Bonanza installed.

Sadly there was one Sale on MM for Zircon Platings (Epic;here we need 3 of them) for just 30k instead of the real price of 65k-70k per piece.


So real mats costs would be about 80k-120k higher = 200k-240k

How can i avoid this? TTC does not include outliners, MM cant even estimate outliners if not enough data is there. Can you exclude MM and still keep TTC prices for WritWorthy?

enchantment master writs

I went and did my normal master writ collection, got to the end, and found that none of the enchantment writs were actually completed, it showed they were done when I went to the table, but none were in my inventory for the turn in at the guy in deeshan, so i went and did them manually and then it worked, unsure if anyone else has had this issue or not.

You should be able to delete the writworthy saved data to reset it manually for now:
"Users\UserName\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\WritWorthy.lua"

You need to do this while ESO is logged out, otherwise it will re-write the saved variables from memory.

cost

I would like to know if crafting cost include supposed priec of the motif.I have noticed 2 simillar writs may wary in crafting cost. i.e. 2 woodwork writs, each for 7 voucher, listed for 4k each may have differente craftign costs. if im right and motif price is included is there a way to exclude it from calculation ?
anyway, sorry posting was a silly question to ask .I just realized its a style mat that give such a big difference

Writ Worthy ok

After the addon updates, I have just accepted 28 sealed master writs of all 7 crafts and, with the exception of 1, I have been able to produce them without any problems and hand them in to Rolis. 1 Writ was not crafted but after learning Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter I was able to craft it and turn it in to Rolis. See pictures..

WritWorthy did not make this writing, Dolgubons made it. Style material was available.

since some *.lib were changed today, the addon doesn't work properly anymore.

Provisioner writes are aborted in the middle of crafting
finished letters (mouse over in inventory, green writing at the bottom) cannot be handed in, even though they are finished
If you double-click finished writings in the inventory, you should craft them again

If that's too complicated to explain, I'll be happy to make a video

center screen messages

Howdie,

thanks for all the work!

Was mighty happy when I saw you implemented that mats feature. Not sure if and how much of my proof of concept code I posted you actually used... Just mighty glad the feature exists :-)

Just did another 200 writs today. And that center screen message queue is driving me insane. And I have that feeling it growing too long is the reason for me getting booted unless I pace my turnin and take a break every 30 writ turn-ins until queue has caught up....

Do you know if it that actually really is the reason for the bootings?

If yes...making all that quest started, finished, intermediate steps announcement in the center screen go faster would really help speed up turning in (barely managed my 200 with one 150% 1 hour scroll).

So I had a quick look around:

the messages we see I assume are mainly the quest started, condition update, plus quest finished messages.

I changed option 2 from the usual silent (just a return). To SetLifespanMS(34) on the messageParams before reaching it through. Option 1 outputs quest text to chat btw... all else do not change behaviour.


Fresh out of master writs. Did a tour of all the 5+ trader in one place locations to buy fresh ones to test it all. Well.... market is bloody dried up. Only found 68 for which I had mats and that were around the price per voucher I get from selling voucher items...

68 is better than nothing so I went and tested:

1. that SetLifespanMS(34) (default I believe is 3500) did seem to make the center queue message go faster. But not THAT much faster. So I stopped at 50 left to not waste my chance to force a boot from server.

2. switched to "quest alert text to chat" option for the last 50...

3. Now that went MUCH faster obviously. But there was still the center screen message "Deliver the x". Must be another EVENT_CODE! If I were a betting man I'd go with EVENT_OBJECTIVE_COMPLETED

But alas...out of writs to test ;-)

Anyway.. the "deliver the x" message were running pretty fast and after turning in 50 writs it barely took half a minute for them to catch up and the cp point gained messages to appear...

So much faster. The 68 writs took like 8 minutes. A third of before (200 took an hour...)

And I didnt get booted from server. Though to be honest. Could have just been luck. Would need to turn in more writs...

Anyway.... thought would be a neat and useful feature for writworthy to not have that annoying message queue take up so much time...

Now making all Quest center messages disappear all the time probably not ideal.

- But maybe a command like 'mat'?
- Location detection?
- Inside the above function do detection if quest that made it go off is a master writ. if yes. supress the events. if no go normal?

if you think this is bollocks... let me know..will swing the idea by the No! thank you addon author...

...and I have it working for me now anyway.. so all is good...no pressure or anything...

Any chance it could also include selected guild banks on top of my own bank and inventory? Even if it only updated after opening them, in case there's some API restriction, it'd be a huge help. I'd love this change.

The new Gamepad UI additions are amazing! I used to toggle to the mouse/KB UI to see which writs I could do with mats on hand and not having to do that is great!

HomeStationMarker integration

I just found out about the /writworthy port command, and it is great. It would be extra amazing if we might be able to get the HomeStationMarker import file for @ziggr 's home.
Any chance of that?

EDIT: Nevermind. I'm not sure how exactly it works, but it works even though I haven't imported anything. What an amazing feature!

updates today included libSets, and now this addon (or MasterWritInventoryMarker which calls it) throws an error when mousing over items in inventory...
