Thanks for suggesting interesting ideas. Trying to do something special during in-game events is indeed an attempt to make the game more fun. The problem is that there is currently no way for the add-on itself to know the duration of in-game events. If we implement your idea in LorePlay, we will have to keep updating the add-on with each new in-game event announcement. Request: Lore Wear Usage by Date
While I'll throw my hat into the ring of asking for the ability to customise which idle and smart emotes play (I love showing off the ones I get from crates), I do have a request that may be easier to implement.
Y'know Lore Wear has those additional presets, things like Riding Clothes and Wet Suit? Would it be possible to add some new options based on the IRL date? I'd really enjoy if my character equipped some festive items during the holidays. I'm specifically keen on New Life, Jester's Festival, and Witches Festival, but the more options the merrier. It could override the Housing and City presets where most characters would be in the holiday wear. Wouldn't be too safe to assault Castle Thorn while dressed for a Winter feast. Thanks for the great work on this addon! |

I hope you don't mind, if I post a small addition here, so that Galen and Y'ffelon and Vastyr are recognized. I don't use Smart Emotes, just Lore Wear; with the additions below it works for me. In SmartEmotes.lua find [1318] = { emoteKey = "dc2", }, -- High Isle after, add [1383] = { emoteKey = "dc2", }, -- Galen and Y'ffelon find [2214] = { emoteKey = "DC", }, -- Amenos Station after, add [2227] = { emoteKey = "DC", }, -- Vastyr [2279] = { emoteKey = "DC", }, -- Vastyr (Castle Mornard)

To perform Smart Emote, please use keybindings. You will find the Lore Play add-on section in the CONTROLS menu, like any other keybind settings. Please assign your preferred keybindings to the 'Perform Smart Emote' action. We may not have provided helpful instructions for Smart Emotes. Thank you. - Calamath |

First of all thanks for updating this great addon!
Which button do i have to press for smart emote when the indicator shows up? I can't find it in the options. All the descriptions just saying "by pressing a button" or "at the touch of a button" but what button? And is it bindable? if yes, how?

As a matter of fact, different idle emote tables are used in the wilderness and in the city. You will notice the difference when you dive into a dungeon or when you return home. There are more than 10 different types. We have received many requests over the years to freely customize these tables. We also ran various tests after that and did not reproduce the nil error you pointed out. The hypothesis I initially presented may have been incorrect. We have now taken action because there is a potential flaw in the code concerned, which could cause a UI error when someone executes an emote with an undefined and incorrect emoteIndex as a parameter. Is there any plans to provide options for which collection of emotes are randomly selected for idle? Like, if I'm in the wilderness, I want x y z emotes to randomly be played, or if in city, this group of emotes to randomly be played. |

Hello Calamath, I tested to put /read into the chat. It performs the read emote as expected without any error. Maybe it was just a one time exception, I never saw the error again. But anyway, thanks for the the nil check in the next version . Also, many thanks for the update and for keeping the addon alive ![]()

Notice Advisory:
As some of you may have noticed, we are currently experiencing issues with LoreWear automation not working properly in certain areas of town. This is due to a recent change in how the game behaves when zoning with short loading screens between discontinuous maps. We are aware of this as a known issue. So you don't need to report it here. We appreciate your patience. UPDATED: I am pleased to release version 1.6.88. It involved some tough work, but I think it turned out better.
