Calamath's Quest Tracker  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.4.0
by: Calamath [More]
Description:
This add-on provides a traditional MMORPG style multiple quest tracker, distributed under the Artistic License 2.0
In designing an alternative for the standard focus quest tracker, there are three things we wanted to improve with this add-on.

(1)To improve playability when you want to progress through the zone story and surrounding side quests in parallel.
(2)Provide a way to freely select which quests you want to see in the tracker without having to hit the T key repeatedly.
(3)Provide a different quest tracker option for new players who have migrated from other MMORPGs.

- If you are familiar with other MMORPG titles, are you looking for such a multiple quest tracker?

Needed libraries/dependencies:
YOU NEED TO INSTALL THE FOLLOWING LIBRARIES SEPARATELY.
- LibCInteraction (Bundled library)
- LibAddonMenu (Version 2.0r34 or later)
- LibCustumMenu (Version 7.1.3 or later)
- LibMediaProvider (Version 1.0 r20 or later)

Features:
- Display up to ten quests based on character's recent quest-related activities.
- Pin your favorite quest to show all the time.
- Each quest can be hidden by ignore settings.
- Display optional steps and hints for quests.
- Quest Timer integration
- Improved functionality of the "Cycle Focused Quest" key

Tracker panel customization:
- panel visual options - title bar color / background color.
- Font options - font style / size / weight / color.
- Visibility options - in combat / in game menu scenes / in battleground.

This add-on is designed to be used in conjunction with the standard quest tracker and other quest tracker add-ons without conflicting with them.

Release note:

When I returned to ESO from other MMORPGs, I looked for something similar to my favorite quest tracker.
It is one of the first add-on developments, and it took almost two years to release.
Thanks to all my friends who have contributed as testers over the years.

The unpublished version needed to maintain a large hard-coded table for each language, and I could not agree to release it.

Later, the API elements introduced in the Blackwood Chapter have brought a technical breakthrough. Made it possible to obsolete hard-coded tables. However, I focused on the Shortcut Pie Menu add-on last year and put this one on the back burner. So it took a long time to release.
ddd
Version 1.2:
I have now fully integrated the Quest Timer functionality and completed the implementation of the planned features.
It can replace all the features of the standard Quest Tracker. And I believe it is stable.
From now, I will focus on the implementation of the wish list.

I hope this add-on will encourage adventurers.

- Calamath

Notice Advisory:
As of version 1.4.0 you will need to enable a bundled library LibCInteraction to use this addon.

Hello xDaedran!
Thanks for your suggestion.
I have received a request to add an icon to the tracker panel to make the quest type visible.
Your request has also been placed on my long wish list.

Hi vazelle!
Thanks for the interesting info. Unfortunately I do not use those add-ons.
So please give me some more information.

First, if you are using BugCatcher, please disable it.
1)If only 'BUI' and CQuestTracker are enabled, will the problem still be reproduced?
2)If only 'AP Meter' and CQuestTracker are enabled, will the problem still be reproduced?
3)If only 'Kill Counter' and CQuestTracker are enabled, will the problem still be reproduced?

If other add-ons try to manipulate CQuestTracker panel frame, it won't work.
If there is an add-on that is doing that, I would need to ask the other add-on to exclude that process.

Hi Falkean,
a new version with an integrated quest timer will be released shortly.
I will add options to adjust the quest hint font in the next V1.2.1.

There are only 3 little things, I would like an option for ;D

1. It would be great if the quest when it is at its last stage (or turn-in) would be colourable or get an icon
2. When in compact mode it would be great, if the UI would somehow reflect, that an inactive quest has progressed. Maybe an animation or a slight color shift? Or show/animate the steps of the quest in, show a change, and then hide/animate out.
3. When making progress in any of the tracked quests, select this quest as active.
Hi Zottelchen, welcome to CQuestTracker. Glad to hear you liked it.

>1.
When a quest is in the completion stage, a green checkmark will appear to the left of the quest name.
The add-on displays the icon faithfully to in-game quest scripts.
But they are often inconsistent with situations where the player considers the quest substantially completed, such as just before the delivery of a craft writ quest.
Add-ons cannot get other data on the progress of each quest.
So, the current specifications will remain in place.

>2.
Good idea.
I have a similar idea, but there is no animation to make the ESOUI label glow, so this will continue to be a development work in progress.

>3.
I would like to consider the possibility of providing this as an option.
This option will be implemented in the next V1.1.6.

Hi Anceane,
Make sure compact mode is off.

We don't think there is a problem with the quest step display section.
If there is anything to be concerned about, you can always show the standard quest tracker in parallel.
If you compare the two and see deficiencies in the CQuestTracker display, it would be helpful you could report back to us with a screenshot.

Note that CQuestTracker also displays completed objectives.

Oooh nice, your's can hide the Soulshriven quest! I'll give it a try, been using FCMQT for ages because of that, but it's not actively updated anymore.

Ok so it looks nice... but when I click on ignore this quest, for Soul Shriven nothing happens.

The libs are all up to date, I use minion, so they update when they are published on here.

I tried disabling all other mods to see if there is a conflict, still couldn't hide soulshriven, or any other quest for that matter.

Nevermind! It's PEBCAC, I was clicking on the the quest header and not the quest name.

I hope you will find Baertram's sticky post useful.
HowTo: AddOn dependencies/Libs in Subfolder/Removal of LibStub

Even if you have the latest LibAddonMenu installed, it can cause various malfunctions because partially replaced by the old version.
This problem is very annoying because it is indistinguishable from the latest version.
