All guild history that has happened after you log in is considered new data or you could call it online data. Those sales can not be requested. They are always automatic and logged the moment they are received.
Data for the time you were offline is manually requested. If you do not like the how 3.x functions then before you revert please read the documentation. You simply change the verbosity to 5, manually request the data you need, and set the verbosity to 4 or lower. If that is not something you wish to do then stop using MM 3.x and revert to MM 2.x.
