- Potency runes: display the potency lvl (1-9) and gear lvl (1-vr10) and if additiv or negativ
- Essence runes: perhaps a symbol of the aspect it affects?

I've just finished putting together an addon I call Crafting Material Level Display, which I think has some of the features you're looking for. The addon adds some tooltip information for all different types of crafting materials, and for enchanting mats in particular it will display things like gear level ranges for potency runes, and glyph types for essence runes. Is that the kind of thing that you were looking for?
