Up to and including version 2.5.10
The main "PersonalAssistant" addon was the only place to select the active profile, and this then applied to all modules (i.e. PABanking, PAJunk, ...) simultaneously.
On one side, this made it quite easy to switch between profiles.
But as soon as you wanted a more dynamic combination of profiles across your characters, it got very complicated and tedious.

Let's take the following example: You want to have the same PAIntegration, PAJunk and PALoot settings for all your characters, but different PABanking settings - except for one of your characters where you also want a different PARepair setting. You now end up with the following:

Many settings are unnceessary duplicated and as soon as you want to change the PALoot settings for all your profiles, you have to it it four times (once per profile)... oof, right? ;)



From version 2.5.11 onwards
Every module has it's own independent list of profiles. This means that if you want the same PALoot settings for all characters, you can just have one single profile and select that one on every character. Whereas for PABanking you can still create three different ones. This gives you the following very clean setup:

If you now want to change the PALoot settings for all your characters, this becomes very easy since you only need to do it once and it will automatically be applied to all characters that have the same PALoot profile selected. Yay! :)
