Re: A new LUA error
@acapela - Sorry to hear you're having difficulty. As for the first thing you describe (load screen flashes) I have experienced these sporadically as well. Unfortunately this is nothing that addons can influence and is in fact a server-side "rollback" due to high load in the current "shard" or some other glitch and is something ZOS will have to address. Sometimes addons that spam messages to chat can cause your character to get booted from the server to the login screen, but this is not the case here. It might be worth running an integrity check/repair from the ESO client.
As for the second thing, this error happens when you visit a cooking station with the cooking writ in your quest log, craft one of the items required, then exit without crafting the other. It is probably why it seems random. This is fixed in the new version I will upload later today. |

A new LUA error
This popped up just now, as I exited the Provisioning crafting station dialog (at the cooking fire in Belkarth/Craglorn). I tried to get it to happen again, in the same game session, but it happened only once (i.e. "intermittent").
Code:

LUA Error
Update: deleted MasterRecipeList/LibAddonMenu/LibPhinixFunction addons files. Deleted all forms of LibAddonMenu and LibPhinixFunctions as bundled in other addons. Deleted all associated saved variables. Reinstalled. Things are much more stable now. Just one "load screen flash", but isolated instances of this have happened historically, since Summerset (or earlier). No instances of this happening in rapid succession, no instances of "falling through the world". So, this may have been a function of an older version of one of the libraries (bundled with another addon) loading first, and conflicting with the current version of MasterRecipeList. The bad news is: it does appear there is some sort of conflict involving MasterRecipeList and/or associated libraries that can significantly destabilize the game client. I will continue to observe, and report any other problems.
---------- Multiple people have been reporting repeated/chronic "load screen flashes" after ESO Update 25. I am one of them. Doing anything, the game client will suddenly flash to a "loading screen", then return to the game world. Historically, this has happened once in isolation, once or twice a day. Recently, it has involved bursts of this, repeated bursts of load screen, repeatedly rapidly, for a protracted period of time (minutes). For me it is most common while standing still interacting with an NPC, crafting station, or my own character inventory, but happens at any time including while doing nothing with the game in the background, such as while I am typing up this forum post. Others have complained of this happening while they are in Cyrodil. It is natural to suspect addon involvement, but this is happening to me with addons disabled. Finally, just a few minutes ago, a burst of this flashing occurred (while my character was interacting with a crafting station in Belkarth/Craglorn), and my character "fell through the world" (character engaged in a falling animation in a 3D-rendered clear blue sky), followed by a legitimate loading screen, followed by materializing at the wayshrine in Belkarth (i.e. the nearest wayshrine). A LUA error popped up as soon as my character materialized: Code:
bad argument #1 to 'ipairs' (table/struct expected, got nil) stack traceback: [C]: in function 'ipairs' EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Tree/ZO_Tree.lua:259: in function 'ZO_Tree:ComputeEndOfPathControlFinalBottomOffset' EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Tree/ZO_Tree.lua:293: in function 'ZO_Tree:SetScrollToTargetNode' EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Tree/ZO_Tree.lua:404: in function 'ZO_Tree:SelectNode' user:/AddOns/MasterRecipeList/MasterRecipeList.lua:3867: in function 'hookFunction' EsoUI/Libraries/Utility/ZO_Hook.lua:18: in function 'OnOpenAnimationStopped' EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Tree/ZO_Tree.lua:121: in function '(anonymous)' [C]: in function 'Stop' EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Templates/ObjectPoolTemplates.lua:9: in function 'Reset' EsoUI/Libraries/Utility/ZO_ObjectPool.lua:159: in function 'ZO_ObjectPool:ReleaseAllObjects' EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Tree/ZO_Tree.lua:63: in function 'ZO_Tree:Reset' EsoUI/Ingame/Crafting/Keyboard/Provisioner.lua:370: in function 'ZO_Provisioner:RefreshRecipeList' user:/AddOns/MasterRecipeList/MasterRecipeList.lua:1645: in function 'func' EsoUI/Libraries/Globals/globalapi.lua:207: in function '(anonymous)' I am not attributing this to ESO Master Recipe List as a cause, the flashing problem happens with the addon disabled, but perhaps ESO Master Recipe List is exercising a defect in the underlying ESO client API. So, I am reporting here. In the meantime, I am going to disable ESO Master Recipe List (I already know the flashing issue will continue), to see if I can capture an instance of "falling through the world" and a different LUA error while ESO Master Recipe List is disabled. I will report whatever I find. I have posted this in the ESO PC technical support forum (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.co...g-load-screens).

Same problem with long, repeated LUA errors. Deleting saved variables for MRL & the Lib worked like a charm.

@Phinix
first i hope you and your dad are ok? its a very hart time for the world and humans must be stay together to solve this pandemic issue of the world. my parents are 87 and 86 and i scare really much that they got this crap. i go shopping and do everything i can do for them to help. take care and maybe one day everything is again ok like it was last year and the years before. b2t and your addons: hart fight i delete every addon that you update in the last days. i deinstall it all with minion open the addon folder and search (all deleted). i open savevariables and search there also (nothing). so i installed the first addon including the libs. start game, no error. end game, start minion, installed another addon (i use more than 6 from you). start game, no error. i done this with all your addons and finally..... NO ERROR, everything running fine. THX for the info deleting savevariables of some addons. now i am happy, i am running nearly 200 addons and searching for an error is not easy (in my case). |

Crafting Station error
When at a crafting station with Provisioning Daily's in Journal. If I leave the station with out creating both items for the Daily Writ then I get the follow error.
This happened with the old version too, its not a new error. But I don't run into it often as I don't usually leave a station before finishing the daily.

New Version Error
Came here to post I got this huge error that was repeatedly popping up after installing new version.
However to fix was relatively simple. Just deleted the save variables for this addon and reloadui. So just a heads up to anyone else getting this.
