Possible bug
In the trade dialogue, I'm only seeing the character known/unknown lists for recipes in the first slot.

Re: Re: Murkmire update...
One thing others can try doing to speed up character load is to disable all other addons for all characters at the Character Select screen. You'll only have to do this once if you choose the All Characters option. Log in and back out of each toon, then re-enable the others. If you have a very long list of addons, try disabling just the heavy hitters, such as Master Merchant. Disabling that one alone will speed up character load immensely.

I love your addon, but...
Yeah, you gotta do something about the constant database wipe. I understand how it can be hard when they add new things, and I didn't want to say anything cause I do love the addon. But I dread seeing it pop up in Minion now. =(

Re: Murkmire update...
thank you once again for a fantastic addon that makes this game so much more enjoyable to play than it would without it. |

Murkmire update...
EDIT: Several people have expressed frustration with having to log into each of their characters to rebuild the MRL database numerous times in the past month, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Part of the issue is that I have scripts that handle exporting the current recipes by category and type, comparing each crafting type to the existing MRL database, exporting difference files to .CSV and generating new string tables already built. Writing a new script to match each recipe's current saved variable index to it's new position after each update would be time consuming and tedious given the random nature of updates and the MRL tables being alphabetized. In the future I will probably replace the current database structure with one that is indexed by recipe ID, with the goal of making future updates fully automated.

RE: Saved Settings
It is unfortunate in this particular case that at the time I posted the initial large update requiring a saved variable reset, I did not foresee the need/reason to move to ID-based and Megaserver-separated saved variables, which I posted about a week later and which also required a reset. Moving forward I plan to use an update script to manually restructure the saved variables database, in the rare instance a future large change is needed. |

Re: Error
It is most likely some other addon conflicting with the hooks in some way, as there should be no reason guild store related functions should fire when using a crafting station. It might help to disable all addons except Master Recipe List and verify it is working, then enable one by one until you find what is conflicting. If all else fails complete uninstall/reinstall can be worth a try.

Error
regards
First congratulate the author for this wonderful addon. When I use any table to craftear I jump the following error: User:/AddOns/MasterRecipeList/MasterRecipeList.lua1764: attempt to index a nil value stack traceback: User:/AddOns/MasterRecipeList/MasterRecipeList.lua1764: in function 'HookTradeHouse' I would really appreciate it if you would give me a solution. A hug |

Re: Tracking Recipe Knowledge & Updating When Learned
Currently when you set a known recipe to tracked, you will see a blue check mark next to the category that contains the recipe at a cooking station, and the recipe itself will be highlighted blue, making it easy to find. This is handy because you can text-search in MRL and find your favorite recipes, then set them to tracked so you can quickly find them at the station. This is particularly helpful when cooking requests for guildmates. It might help to think of manually setting known recipes to tracked as setting them as "favorites."

Tracking Recipe Knowledge & Updating When Learned
LONG! Brief remarks about the quoted comments are added between braces {...}.
So, there are two options. One is signify "marked unknown" with a red checkmark, and "marked known" with yellow. Or use yellow for "marked unknown" and use blue (or red) for "marked known". (In other words, it is best to never use the color green to signify the status of anything.) The "marked known" option is interesting. It could signify only that the character for which the UI is shown already knows the recipe. Or it could signify that the recipe is known by one or more of the player's characters but not by all of them. The names of the characters which know the recipe are added to the tooltip, in either case. Regardless, "marked known" should not be shown when a recipe is known by all characters for which marking is configured -- albeit, currently it is shown. After a recipe has been learned by all of a player's current characters, then its status should be changed to "unmarked known".The other option -- which I would like added -- is to auto-update from "marked unknown" to "unmarked known". That is, when a character learns a recipe, then it will no longer be marked in lists displayed for the Inventory (Bags), Guild Stores, Bank Account, and Home Storage for that character. The disadvantage is that a character might find a recipe which the character knows, but which another character of the same player has not learned yet. (By the way, the tooltip list has often been incomplete or otherwise incorrect, but that's a bug which I haven't informed you about yet. ) Regarding the EDIT:
Regardless, a player should have the option to set a known recipe to "marked known", for the usage that I described above.

Hey thx for the reply.
Yeah i just like that every char i got, know everything You can skip the quote part, its me rambling, trying to explain why i were using manually tracking.
But somewhere on the road here, i must had thought that was the way to do this, but errm not so much anymore So all i have to do is not track anything Sorry for me rambling like a maniac. And no no, i understand now, but i just do not understand how i came to the conclusion that i had to add some thing to tracking, to show that the current char did not know it, when all i had to do was really nothing |
