if ESOMRL and ESOMRL.ISMRLTracking(itemLink) then
PLEASE HELP! I've still been dealing with my 28 year old brother passing and now my father is in the hospital with a major stroke that has paralyzed his entire left side. My disability was reduced to $629 recently, and trying to make it between home and where he is (about 100 miles one-way) is tough. I need to be with him though. If there is anything you can do to help it would mean a lot. (6-19-24) |

ESO MRL is the only add-on which I use that deals with crafting foods & beverages.

@Shadowshire: Ah, I see what you are saying now. The furniture page legend is showing the popup for the ingredient page legend instead of the correct recipe version. That is definitely a bug I'll have to fix!
You'll have to forgive me for not loading all the screenshots and just going by what I was reading in the description; my internet connection is 1 mBIT (not byte, BIT) on a good day so it takes quite a while. Master Recipe List makes a lot of improvements to the default ESO cooking station. It colors the categories of recipes by quality, for one thing. Plus it puts a yellow check next to the category containing a known recipe needed to craft a current Cooking Writ requirement, and highlights that recipe in gold. It also puts the blue checks by categories containing tracked known recipes and highlights those in blue. Here's an example: https://i.imgur.com/qBOGWbK.jpg Of course the cooking station enhancements only show if you are not using another addon which completely overhauls the cooking station like CraftStore. This addon is compatible but you won't see the marks unless the cooking module in CraftStore is disabled. I will have to think about how to include a colorblind-friendly option in the future.

Hmm, not entirely sure I understand what you are asking, but there are two separate features being described here. When you set a recipe to tracked by clicking it on the recipe list, it adds "on recipe tracking list" information to the tooltip and makes yellow check marks on the item in your inventory and at guild banks, etc. The inventory icon is always yellow. The legend only applies to the clickable list in the Master Recipe List app.
If you use the option to always show recipes the current character doesn't know (in addon settings), or use a tracking character for this (lets you always show recipes a chosen character doesn't know as checked), it adds GREEN inventory icons. Very similar, but with this option you will see the green inventory checks for recipes the selected character does not know (doesn't have to be current character) even if those recipes are not set manually to tracking on the current character. This lets you use tracking more for finding recipes you want to cook easily at the station, as tracked recipes show a BLUE icon on their category at the station (and are highlighted in blue). So many colors I know, but once you get the hang of it, it isn't so bad!

Re: Re: Re: Re: ESO MRL Color Scheme for Stars
The Checkmark Panel for Food & Beverages (as you have described it): https://imgur.com/sTpl4la The Checkmark Panel for Furnishing 'Recipes' (as displayed by ESO MRL): https://imgur.com/KoqeKqD The recipe 'Jewels of Misrule' changed from 'Marked Unknown' to 'Marked Known' after learned by character, instead of changed to 'Unmarked Known' (unsure why ESO MRL does what it does, but perhaps should be a configuration option): https://imgur.com/WHKFk55 All food & beverages currently not known by any character are flagged by default (apparently overrides marking by player): https://imgur.com/JVVHI9q Congfiguration Options for Ace Firelight (perchance you need to know): https://imgur.com/GIw0wm8 Thank-you again for all the time and effort that you spend developing and maintaining ESO add-ons.

Also, I'll look into cleaning up the tooltips with some display options. |

Hi, I really like MRL and wish to ask for a small extra to an existing feature.
The Recipe "Known By" is great but now I have 14 characters (soon I will have 15). When a recipe is known on 10 or more chars and the names are not in the same order between recipes I find it hard to easily see which character (if any) needs a recipe stored in a bag/bank. I mainly refer to this for the green provisioning recipes knowledge which will help when I come to level provisioning on these later chars. example, all my 14 chars, I was thinking maybe there could also be a "Not Known By" section below it as well that is display enabled through a selection in the settings. And where, like in the example above a recipe is known by all current characters there is perhaps no further need to list all the names and maybe it could just say Known By All Characters thanks |

Re: ESO MRL Color Scheme for Stars
@Shadowshire: Hi, glad to hear you enjoy using MRL. Just FYI, there is an icon at the upper right of the main window which, when you move your mouse over it, will show you a legend popup explaining what each of the colors signifies.
To summarize: White outline: Unknown recipe/pattern. White solid: Unknown recipe/pattern set to tracking. Yellow outline: Known recipe/pattern. Yellow solid: Known recipe/pattern set to track. Orange outline: Unknown recipe needed for current writ. Orange with yellow center: Unknown recipe needed for writ set to track. These colors are generated based on your currently logged in character. Hope that helps!

ESO MRL Color Scheme for Stars
Although I have used ESO Master Recipe List for at least three years, only since the introduction of "furnishing recipes" has the color scheme for the Stars that signify the status of a recipe become quite important. Please let me know whether I am in error and reply with the missing information:
For furnishing, I have all EP recipes learned by the Pact Hero. All DC recipes are learned by the Covenant Hero. All AD recipies are learned by the Dominion Hero. A fourth character who is an Imperial supporting the AD focuses upon all Dwemer and Clockwork recipes. All characters learn most of the Common recipes and Design for foods, etc. Thank-you for your time and attention to this inquiry. I really enjoy using your add-ons, and I wouldn't want to play TESO with its primitive, featureless native UI. |

Errors fixed...
The error was due to a change in saved variable format in the CraftStore addon, which broke the MRL function that checks for it. I updated the integration to resolve the issue, and added checks to prevent errors from future changes. Also, you will no longer have to reload the UI when toggling CraftStore's Cook Station support on and off in order to update this addon's behavior at the cooking station.
