Small minimap addon that shouldn't impact the FPS too much.
Especially handy for those who use HarvestMap and get FPS drops together with ZrMM.

While in mouse mode (toggled with the . key), the position of the minimap can be changed by dragging the minimap title and zooming is done with the mouse wheel.
While your character isn't moving, you can even pan the map and look at other zones (the typical left/right click navigation from the default map works).

The size of the minimap can be changed via the chatcommand

/lwmsize [size]

The default minimap zoomout level can be set with:

This is a number between 0 and 8, 8 being zoomed out the most.

Thanks for this add-on. I'll try it out, but not sure I'll stick with it if it stands out like a sore thumb. Also, I don't mean that in a rude way - not even a little bit.

I do not intend to add any themeing options at this time. The minimap is the ZOS default map shrunk down so you can see it all the time.

The only addons I run that appear to do anything with the map aside from this addon are harvest map, skyshards and lorebooks. When I revert back to using 0.5 edition of the lightweight minimap all the problems I describe from 0.7 go away. When I turn off 0.7 and just run my other addons the issue does not appear as well. For now I'm having to run 0.5 edition of this addon as I never experienced any of the above prior to the 0.7 update... but yes, I guess there may be some conflict somewhere, oh well...

If you can tell me what addon is the conflict I will definitely take a look.

To aid in your search: Hiding of the minimap is handled when the "hud" or "hudUI" scene is hidden. I make sure you aren't trying to Fast Travel, then the map is hidden.

What do you think about combining your slash commands? That way, users only have to remember /lwm (maybe even alias it to /minimap as well) and the usage would be more intuitive (in my view at least

There's a minor bug when changing the map zoom from minimap to world map and back: If you're using a big zoom modifier on the world map (I'm at 8) the map zooms out and pans to fit the whole map into the frame on smaller maps (e.g. small towns). When you then change to minimap again (and it zooms in) the center point is no longer where you are. This gets corrected when moving, of course.

Zone Title: I will see what happened to it.
Slash commands: I completely agree.
Bug: Thanks! I will try to knock this one out along with the zoning issue in the next release.

I would really like to use both at the same time. It appears it may have some time do with conflicting events handlers just briefly looking at the code. I am not a LUA coder just looked for patterns.

FYI: Moving the Map. I had the same problem...until...I discovered that I can move the map when I am in cursor mode and put the curser in the "blank" area above the top of the map. Nisadir.
