Inventory Grid View  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.0.9.4
by: Randactyl, ingeniousclown, Sharlikran
Replace your default inventory's list view with a more compact grid view! The default list view shows 11-12 items at a time (in my case), so it can become a pain to navigate your inventory.

Grid view sacrifices detailed information for more pictures. Sometimes you want the detailed information, so I've included a keybind that will toggle the grid on and off.

Features:
  • Grid view for your main inventory, your bank, your guild bank, your craft bag, NPC's stores, AND the buyback screen!
  • Toggle grid view on and off! Useful for when you need to scan with more information.
  • Customizable grid size.
  • Four default skins to choose from, with more available for download.
  • Authors can submit their own skins for download. (See Inventory Grid View Skin Template for details.)
  • Offsets item tooltips so they do not cover up the grid (can be turned off).
  • Set scale of item icon animation.
  • Works with Advanced Filters and other inventory addons such as Item Saver and AlphaGear!

Special thanks to:
  • Rushmik, Tonyleila - included extra skin choices

-Added a "minimum quality" option for the outlines.

v1.0.1

-Moved the toggle button back to its home in the bottom of the window.

v1.0.0
-Settings window added under SETTINGS menu!
-Added a real icon to toggle grid view and moved it to the upper left-hand corner of the inventory window.
-Added a custom mouse-over background for the grid view that is colored by the rarity of the item. This is still colored when the outline is turned off.
-Removed the slash commands. Now you can use the SETTINGS menu.
-Added a slider to customize the size of the icons in the grid.
-Fixed a bug where the grid wasn't properly calculating the spacing between grid icons. The grid should now fill the window.

v0.4.3
-Fixed a typo that made the guild bank not work.

v0.4.2
-Fixed an issue where I was indexing the bags with the wrong global constant. As a result, the guild bank should now be grid view-able and the scrolling should now work correctly in the bank.

-Fixed the scroll bar size

v0.4
-Fixed another issue with slots not reverting to list view
-Added compatibility for my new mod, Research Assistant

v0.3
-Integrated the grid view to the player bank and guild bank.
-Fixed issue where some slots wouldn't convert back to list view
-Cleaned up the code just a little bit :)

v0.21
-Updated API version so it won't say "out of date" anymore

v0.2
-Added rarity outline colors to the grid view (I hope)
-Added slash command "/inventorygridview outlines" to toggle outlines
-Added saved vars to keep track of your grid view and outline settings
-Removed the changelog from the zip because it was being read as another add-on (lol)

v0.12
-Fixed filter swapping.

v0.11
-Added a parent folder to the zip

v0.1
-Initial release

Reposting this here, because it is relevant to InventoryGridView:

Ok, so there're a glitch that happens with a very specific combination of addons.

Description of the glitch:

If AwesomeGuildStore, AutoCategory and InventoryGridView are all on at the same time the game throws the following error:

Lua Code:
  1. user:/AddOns/InventoryGridView/util.lua:90: attempt to index a nil value
  2. stack traceback:
  3. user:/AddOns/InventoryGridView/util.lua:90: in function 'ReshapeSlot'
  4. user:/AddOns/InventoryGridView/util.lua:193: in function 'util.ReshapeSlots'
  5. user:/AddOns/InventoryGridView/adapter.lua:450: in function 'adapter.ScrollController'
  6. EsoUI/Libraries/Utility/ZO_Hook.lua:19: in function 'ZO_ScrollList_UpdateScroll'
  7. user:/AddOns/InventoryGridView/main.lua:46: in function 'onFragmentShowing'
  8. user:/AddOns/InventoryGridView/main.lua:59: in function 'onFragmentStateChange'
  9. EsoUI/Libraries/Utility/ZO_CallbackObject.lua:111: in function 'ZO_CallbackObject:FireCallbacks'
  10. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_SceneFragment.lua:111: in function 'ZO_SceneFragment:SetState'
  11. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_SceneFragment.lua:129: in function 'ZO_SceneFragment:ShouldBeShown'
  12. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_SceneFragment.lua:195: in function 'ZO_SceneFragment:Refresh'
  13. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_Scene.lua:320: in function 'ZO_Scene:RefreshFragmentsHelper'
  14. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_Scene.lua:328: in function 'ZO_Scene:RefreshFragments'
  15. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_Scene.lua:283: in function 'ZO_Scene:SetState'
  16. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_SceneManager_Base.lua:161: in function 'ZO_SceneManager_Base:ShowScene'
  17. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_SceneManager_Leader.lua:282: in function 'ZO_SceneManager_Leader:ShowScene'
  18. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_SceneManager_Leader.lua:265: in function 'ZO_SceneManager_Leader:Show'
  19. EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_Scene/ZO_SceneManager_Leader.lua:206: in function 'ZO_SceneManager_Leader:ShowWithFollowup'
  20. EsoUI/Ingame/Scenes/IngameSceneManager.lua:71: in function 'ZO_IngameSceneManager:SetInUIMode'
  21. EsoUI/Ingame/Scenes/IngameSceneManager.lua:266: in function 'ZO_IngameSceneManager:OnLoadingScreenDropped'
  22. EsoUI/Ingame/Scenes/IngameSceneManager.lua:30: in function '(anonymous)'

After the error, the ui becomes unresponsive and stays in this state until either of the 3 mentioned addons is disabled.

AwesomeGuildStore and InventoryGridView alone do NOT produce errors.
AwesomeGuildStore and AutoCategory alone do NOT produce errors.
AutoCategory and InventoryGridView alone do NOT produce errors.

It only happens with all 3 of them enabled.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download the latest versions of all 3 addons.
2. Enabled all 3 addons.
3. Reloadui.
4. Try to change the UI scene to anything besides HUD or HUD_UI.

Please take a look at this.

That makes a lot of sense, actually. I have been paying a little more attention, and it turns out this correlates with an unpleasant white square where the "+" or "-" sign for the category should go; I guess for some reason they don't play nice WRT where the actual inventory stuff is, and we end up with IGV trying to restyle the AC item...

Seems as if one of the both addons needs and adjustment.

I get this error after a reload, not shure if auto category related. Keep up the good work

Dunno why
If you use pchat disable it see if it fixes your issues.
I have the same issue and it's not just opening the inventory - my fps dies whenever I try to scroll my inventory as well. And it's not pChat - it's FCO ItemSaver + IGV. Also, having just IGV enabled, my fps drops by about 20 when scrolling - not sure how much can be done about that, though. Can someone look into the issue with ItemSaver, though, please? I depend quite a bit on ItemSaver and it's impossible to play without IGV

Ok, guys, I have to say it's looking like Awsomeguildstore is the one AC doesn't work well with. Not IGV.

Looking like I may have to say MY BAD!

Just speculating from work, Auto Category is suspect because i believe it modifies the inventory scroll lists as IGV does. My gut feeling is AF doesn’t have a hand in this pie, as it shouldn’t be stepping on anything IGV tries to do (the reverse is also true).
Apologies for the delayed response.

Mine just happens randomly on either a character login or /reloadui.

Hers was triggered every time she did a /reloadui in an attempt to troubleshoot a UI mod we both use.

But in the end, I disable AC and everything works great after that.
I'll play around with disabling Auto-Category on one of my characters & see what happens.

I appreciate everyone's constructive feedback on this!
Here are the add-ons am using now. I still have a lot more I use to install. But right now game running faster and smoother with fewer add-ons. I have AC and CookeryWiz unchecked and everything working great.

It currently works barring a potential issue with Auto Category (which IGV is not advertised as compatible with). Enable out of date addons and get your grids back!

I’m NA

Edit for clarity: IGV does not claim to be compatible with Auto Category. Auto Category claims to be compatible with IGV. Since IGV does not make the claim, involved changes to fix that edge case are currently very lowly prioritized. If it’s something that can be fixed in AC, great. If not, I accept pull requests for IGV on GitHub if someone can get to it before I do.

Was? I’m using it without issue every day I login.

Just because it says out of date doesn’t mean it’s broken.

Or does someone have errors they haven’t shared with the class?

Edit: I’ve not seen whatever that is below, and it is not an issue with AGS.
First, I'd like to thank you for all your hard work on this mod! It adds what I believe to be a KEY FEATURE that should be native to all games with an inventory system.

Additionally, imo, everyone should always have the "Allow out of date add-ons" options checked for daily use (excluding specific troubleshooting, ofc), because what you say is true: "Just because it says out of date, doesn't mean it's broken."

That being said, both myself & a family member get the exact same error @Lakes posted on 06/01/18 10:28 AM, however, oddly, I do not have to force close my game, but she does.
(We both have out of date add-ons set to load)

We are both using the latest version available of Awesome Guild Store, AutoCategory & Advanced Filters.

Until a fix is found, we've determined that disabling her Advanced Filters prevents the need for a force close, but does not prevent the error.

Again, we both appreciate all your hard work & dedication to this mod & welcome any constructive feedback from yourself or the community!
What are you two doing before the error occurs?

Just speculating from work, Auto Category is suspect because i believe it modifies the inventory scroll lists as IGV does. My gut feeling is AF doesn’t have a hand in this pie, as it shouldn’t be stepping on anything IGV tries to do (the reverse is also true).
I just said the heck with it, uninstalled all add-ons, uninstalled game, deleted everything to do with ESO. Rebooted downloaded ESO install, went rather fast, was shocked. Everything with not even half of my addons reinstalled I agree it points to AG. Anything seems to trigger it, then it may not happen at all. But in the end, I disable AG and everything works great after that.
What’s AG? Advanced Filters?

What’s also driving my gut feeling that AF isn’t a part of this is that I use AF and IGV together every day.

If y’all are set on this, I’m going to need a list of enabled addons and steps to reproduce the error.
Sorry, mean AC.
