Filter BarsFuture Plans:
It creates filter bars with buttons that you can click to view only the items you want to see in your inventory windows. Like view only 1h axes, only medium armor, only provisioning ingredients, exc...
There are filter bars for your backpack, bank, guild bank, mail, trade, repair, enchanting extraction window, deconstruction, improvement, pattern filters for clothier station (to show only light or only medium armor patterns, also works with the set armor station patterns), and more...
Filters will turn red and become disabled if there are no items of that filter type to be displayed.
Special filters under the inventories "Show ALL" buttons:
- Filter/Show only items that have "Save For .." marks on them.
- Filter/Show only set-items.
- Filter/Show only items that your current character needs for research.
- Filter/Show only items that your other characters need for research. There is an option to allow you to choose which researchable item types (blacksmithing, woodworking, clothier, recipes) will be shown for each character under this filter so you can exclude characters/crafting skill types that you do not want to view researchable items for.
Level Filters
There is a dropdown box that contains level filters & item counts for each level filter.
In the drop down box, for level filters, it will also tell you how many items you have UNDER YOUR CURRENT INVENTORY TAB, for the given level range. For example if you have the weapons tab selected in your inventory and you see the following in the level filter drop down box:2-10 (1)Would mean there is (1) item level 2-10 under the current inventory filter (weapons)
Save For Marks
The following is a list of the current marks you can add to items (by right clicking on them)
Save for: Trading House, Trade, Vendor, Mail, Alchemy, Enchanting, Provisioning, Deconstruction, Improvement, Refinement, Research, & Save.
When an item is marked it will only show up in the window that it is marked for. This is to prevent you from selling, deconstructing, trading, mailing, exc.. an item that has been marked to be saved for another action. Items marked with the plain "Save" mark (the padlock) will only show up in the backpack, bank, & guild bank.
Two exceptions:Research Station - Items with marks other than "Save for Research" can show up in the research dialog box, but are disabled and can not be researched. This was intentional in case you didn't realize an item could be researched and marked it for something else. This way you'll see it in the research window.Auto-Marks
Provisioning Station - Items with marks other than "Save for Provisioning" can still show up in the recipe list. This was necessary or else the game would automatically hide the recipes. But the crafting station will tell you you don't have enough materials to craft the recipe (the craft option will not be available).
There are three options that allow you to choose if you wish Researchable items, Ornate Items, & Intricate items to be marked automatically when you pick up a new item. It will only automatically marks NEW items you pick up. This is so you can choose to unmark or change the marks on them if you wish.
There is also an option that allows you to set a keybind to automark items already in your inventory. It works on the backpack, bank, & guild bank. The inventory must be open when you press the hotkey. WARNING: If an item meets the criteria for an auto-mark and already has a mark on it, that mark will be overwritten with the auto-mark.
Protection
When an item is marked it will not show up in other windows. So as an example, if an item was marked for improvement a user could not manually sell it to the vendor, mail it, trade it, deconstruct it, exc... It would not be visible for selection in any other windows. The destroy option is removed from the right click context menu for items that are marked & you can not drag them to the main window to destroy them.
It also has code built in to help protect marked items from other addons (scroll down to read details about what it protects against). The code is there to prevent other addons from deconstructing, selling, mailing, exc... items that you have marked for something else.
HOWEVER, IF YOUR USING AN ADDON THAT AUTOMATICALLY DESTROYS, DECONSTRUCTS, SELLS, EXC.. ITEMS CONSULT THAT ADDONS DEVELOPER TO SEE IF THE MARKED ITEMS WILL BE SAFE. I did my best to protect items, but there could always be something I did not think of.

If one of these actions is attempted on a marked item a ZO_Alert message will be played to the user & the action will fail for that item. If it is an action on multiple items like SellAllJunk() it will not interrupt the selling process, it will only prevent the marked items from being sold. All other non-marked junk items will still get sold.

AddSlotAction(..) -- Prevents the Destroy option from appearing in the context menu when you Right-Click on marked items.

I'm not going to duplicate all/any of those features. As for the text search, I don't know I'll think about it. Anything you want to text search for you can do under the all tab. If you know what text to search for then it shouldn't matter that "all" items show up under the all tab, once you enter the text it will be narrowed down to show only what your looking for. Also there is only so much room for buttons, without moving the search box somewhere different theres not really room. However, Votan created an addon that "I think" does what your asking and it says its compatible with FilterIt: Votans Search Box

Feature Request:
Drop Down Box with options for Slot (eg Chest/Hands/Legs OR Lvl Range 1-10/11-20 etc) (same feature as image 2 of http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info2...edFilters.html) would be amazing! Currently running both which is terrible as the hooks conflict and overlay each other just for this functionality. http://www.esoui.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=677 and will be nice to add sort by quality button to the improvement tab too ![]() P.S. Filter by text search enabled at ALL tab, but at Quest tab also. i believe we dont need it at the 2nd one =)

Those clothing items are concidered armor by the game & show up under the armor tab. But they are not heavy, medium, or light armor and are not jewelry so they do not belong under any of those filters. The "Fence" filter is for items that are stolen or have been laundered BUT do not fall under any other existing filter. Again I could change it if people don't like that, it would not be difficult. But that just opens up a mess of things: Do I create a filter for vanity "clothing" items that have been stolen? What about other laundered items like dolls, paintings, ....whatever stuff you can steal thats all I know about. I thought it was easiest to just convert the stolen filter into a fence filter and dump the laundered stuff there as well...because again as I said, those clothing items are not heavy, medium, light armor nor jewelry so it doesn't belong under those filters and I didn't want to clutter things up even more by creating more filters.

Couple of suggestions/thoughts
Not sure far as everyone else thoughts on this but figured I'd put this up here. A few suggestions and thoughts.
1. Have dwemer scraps fall under style material filter. I get that they are materials to make the style material, but they are still part of the style material process and having it show up under both woodworking, clothing, and blacksmithing material filters is a bit redundant and confusing, (especialy for newer players) But also because when transferring items to bank etc or another character I always end up having to stop myself from accidentally moving this item as well. 2. Fish. Ok the fish provisioning item shows up under food which is good. But the uncleaned fish you get from fishing you still have to search for under the all filter. Is there a subfilter these can be placed under to make them easier to find? 3. Clothing items still show up as stolen even after being laundered. Is this intentional? Suppose still works ok for filtering them though. Also like to ask is there anyway to eliminate some filters for individual preference if we find some to not really be necessary personally? Thanks. And I really love this addon. Find it difficult to go without it now XD Thank you! |

New FilterIt user here, I've just installed it and disabled AdvancedFilters to give this one a try. I've searched back this comment section for a mention of this and found none, so I thought I would ask about this ![]() There's a (minor) layout trouble when using this with InventoryGridView in grid mode, here's a screenshot of the way it looks: ![]() There would be any chance to align the marks a bit closer to the icons? So they wouldn't draw outside of the cell assigned to them and behind the item next to them? No problem from me if this is a big NO! or it was mentioned before and it's a know issue that you decided to avoid for now... just wanted to be sure you knew about it. Technically that filter is: "Items that are stolen or have ITEMTYPE_NONE." That item you posted has ITEMTYPE_NONE. Since a lot of the stolen items have no item type there is no way to tell them apart from items like that. Which is why I posted this: http://www.esoui.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4416 Unless you have some other idea? |

Some help with sub-sub-items
I have several items that don't have a sub-sub-heading.
For example: these are both a pvp repair kits |H1:item:27962:2:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h |H1:item:27138:2:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h they appear under all consummables but dont have an icon of their own. they used to appear with regular repair kits this is a caught fish. it is now a consummable. it used to be a trophy |H1:item:42864:25:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h these are 9g vendorables, they used to have an icon but they are grey items now (even less than white) |H1:item:54382:177:50:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h |H1:item:54383:177:50:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h |H1:item:54381:177:50:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h |H1:item:54388:177:50:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0|h|h |

This item: Spirit Stone appears in "fence" filter even if it has nothing to do with fence. Anyway, what is this filter? Stolen items?
