- "Zone Main Quest" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of Zone Quest Storyline.
- "Wayshrines" will show unknown SkyShards after discovering of all Wayshrines of the zone.
- "Exploration" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of all delves and interesting locations of the zone.

So in the future when an author removes the libraries, what everyone should do is:
1. Delete the addon from your Addons folder (this will force the game to look for separately installed libraries as outdated info doesn't get overwritten if there's nothing to overwrite it with- such as a lib folder)
2. Copy the entire contents of the new zip file you already downloaded to the aforementioned Addons folder
3. Downloaded the required dependencies, assuming they aren't already installed due to an increasing number of authors choosing to go this route, and copy them into the Addons folder as well
I will eventually remove dependent libraries too, but I wanted to make sure all was working as it should be first.

Thanks for the description on dealing with library dependencies. Hope everyone actually reads it.

Just wanted to say there was nothing wrong with the way you did it before by removing the libraries. All of the problems I'm reading below sounds like people who couldn't understand what to do. Since you are not the first author to do so, I am surprised at the number of people here who had trouble making it work.

I'm quite sure I haven't seen any posts here from you about the problems you're having. It's helpful if you actually ask for help.

I've retested Skyshards, standalone, and tweaked a few libraries. Hopefully it's working right (I found some missing pieces).

As far as misplaced markers go in Murkmire, I think I've got it sorted. Tsofeer Cavern Skyshard no longer shows up in Blackrose Prison.

If anyone sees a shard where it doesn't belong, use /mypos, and send me the info from chat msg.

Just wanted to say that this did NOT fix it. It shows fixed in the character selection screen but once I actually am logged in, it get the same dependency issues.
Really can't think of anything else that might be wrong right now. If you can see it and set it properly at the char selection screen, it should work right once into the main game.

If you click the yellow (maybe yellow) arrow to the left of the addon in game )(in the addons window), what is it showing as missing?
I was having the same problem as well and it was showing 2 things missing. Custom compass pins and Lib map ping. Once I manually downloaded and installed both of them into skyshards where they belong the addon started working fine again.
You should NOT need to install anything UNDER Skyshards. Skyshards will find it just fine if it's in the main directory, and if Minion updates Skyshards, it will likely delete the entire folder and re-create it, thus removing the sub-addons you put under it.
I had to or the mod would not work. when you first get to the player select screen the mod is yellow. But when you log into the game it is not working and was red. the 2 things it said were missing was Custom compass pins and lib map ping. When I logged out of the game and manually downloaded those 2 things and installed them into the skyshards folder where they are suppose to go, then when I logged back into the game, the mod was finally working again. If I had not the mod wouldn't have worked for me . It was red in game and not working until I replaced what it said was missing.

Also, I'm not adding to the mod. the things I placed in there ( Custom compass pins and lib map ping ) are already there and already have folders in the mod as you made it. but both were missing parts or all of those 2 things I manually readded to the mod.

You're close on a solution.

I got rid of the "Optional" part of the line too early (was planning on removing the embedded libs now, instead of later, and forgot to put it back). Hopefully this will solve everything for now.

10.9 shortly (sometimes being a developer just plain SUCKS!)
I am not sure if that is a fix as well, but I just created a "CustomCompassPins.txt" with all the stuff like "Author", "Version", "APIVersion", etc. and wrote the line "libs/CustomCompassPins.lua" in it... It seems to work…

Best regards

I haven't changed any dependencies or removed any libs from the zip file, so it should continue working without them.

Do you have "Allow out of date addons" checked? If not, turn it on, see if that helps.
