This addon allows you to use the fast travel functionality of the game in a comfortable and highly-customizable way. All fast travel options you have through your guilds, friends and group are listed in a clear way and are usable with different search and filtering features. To get the most out of it, as with any other addon, it is recommended to check the settings after initial installation.

BeamMeUp Community is live
We run 4 BeamMeUp guilds on NA and EU server. Everyone is welcome, no requirements or obligations! Only through your membership and activity do we all benefit from free fast travel options! You find our guilds by clicking on the guild button in the upper left corner of the addon interface or via the guild finder.

All features:
  • Search, Filter, Favorite, Customize
    • Sorted list of all fast travel options and much additional information
    • Search by player or zone names
    • Easily port to Group Leader or Group Members in Dungeons (always on top) and see if they are in the same game instance as you
    • Set specific players or zones as favorites and easily port to them via keybinding
    • Use the different tabs to find Fast Travel options to the open/displayed map (world map) and also to the Delves located there
    • Use filters and blacklists and many other options to customize your personal filtering (e. g. show only Overland maps or hide different types of zones)

    • Manually add a player to favorites (e.g. /bmu/favorites/add/player @DeadSoon 1) (player name and slot)

    • Set a second language for searching for zone names

      • You can search by zone names in your client and in this second language at the same time
      • The Tooltip of zone names shows also the name in the second language

    • Receive a notification when a player favorite comes online
      • Enable this option to see a short notification/center screen message when a favorite player enters the game

    • Intelligent error handling
      • Detection of errors while porting and output of a note in the chat
      • When an error occurs while porting (player you try to port to is in the loading screen) the Addon automatically starts a port process to another player

    • Share your travel destination via the chat
      • If you right-click on the travel button, the teleport will start as usual but, additionally a clickable Link will be printed into the group chat (you have to press Enter!). Your group member can follow you by clicking on the Link (this also allows you to share your houses)

    • Integration into Bandits User Interface
      • A button for BeamMeUp is automatically inserted into the sidebar of Bandits User Interface Addon

    • Useful notification while mining a survey map
      • If you mine a survey map and there are still some identical maps (same location) in your inventory, a notification (center screen message) will inform you (disabled by default).

    • Useful hint for whispering
      • When you are set to offline and you whisper to someone, you will get a note in the chat, that you cannot receive any whisper messages. This feature helps to avoid unwanted blocking of replies (enabled by default!).


  • Meaning of Colors:
    • GOLD = player and zone favorites
    • ORANGE = Group members
    • GREEN = Friends
    • BLUE = current zone (where your character actual is)

Known Bugs:
  • The Gamepad Mode is currently not supported! Gamepad Mode users have to use the mouse (or keybind) to open the addon interface manually. If you notice any bugs while using the Gamepad Mode, please let us know!
  • When using BeamMeUp together with the addon GuildShrines with the option "show unknown wayshrines" enabled, the auto-discovery/auto-unlock feature might not work correctly. Disabling the option temporarily should solve the problem.
  • If you cannot see any icons/buttons after the installation of the addon, please restart the complete game. Unfortunately, ESO loads custom icons only once at game start. If you then still cannot see the icons/buttons, please close the game and delete the file ShaderCache.cooked in the live folder.

  • When using BeamMeUp together with the addon GuildShrines with the option "show unknown wayshrines" enabled, the auto-discovery/auto-unlock feature might not work correctly. Disabling the option temporarily should solve the problem.
This should be your fix. I will consider to implement a check if GuildShrines and this incompatible option is enabled to show a dialog to inform the user. You are not the only one who is not reading the complete description

Basically, this is correct. The teleportation trails to other available players in the zone unlock the wayshrines so you can use them as usual. For some players this is already enough because for some reasons they are not interested in getting the XP for physical discovery or the ZoneGuide completion progress (btw. they can also disable the additional chat output). For the others who want to unlock und discover the wayshrines completely, your description is correct and the easiest way.

In this example, all wayshrines of the zone should be usable (unlocked) for you. When you open the map, the wayshrines should appear as any other known wayhsrine. But when you check the ZoneGuide (e.g. use the toggle button in the corner of the BMU interface) you will see, that the listed wayshrines are not counted as discovered. When you travel to one of the listed wayshrines, it should immediately be counted in the ZoneGuide and BMU should not list this wayshrine again.

However, now what happens...I'll take an alt to a newish zone, I hit the unlock current zone wayshrines and it doesn't attempt any teleports at all, it immediately will list all the wayshrines in the zone and tell me to physically go to each one. They stay greyed out on the map, I cannot go to any of them via teleport. So I am unable to use them and it doesn't attempt the normal trial of teleport. What do you think? Did I muck something up?

You maybe missed the explanation dialog and the chat output that is printed each time you use this feature (check your chat tab). The point is, that the addon can unlock the wayshrines in a way that you can use them as usual. But to discover the wayshrines completely and to have them counted in the Zone Guide you need to travel to them physically once (e.g. just port to them).

Thanks for the clarification. I've seen the list of partner guilds for a long time but didn't understand what kind of guild they were. It would be easier to understand if they were named BeamMeUpFive, BeamMeUpSix, BeamMeUpSeven, etc.

We wanted to keep the official guilds seperated so you can see what guilds are managed by the authors. All other guilds my have extra benefits like regulary traders, guild events, raid groups, dungeon groups and other stuff.

Thanks. You are always welcome to try my other addons as well and of course, any feedback (incl. the negative ones) is appreciated.

The problem with the guilds is currently caused by an annoying game bug that prevents us from kicking inactive members. The fix should be rolled out today but it will take some days until we can "clean" the guild roster. However, because we cannot manage so many guilds on both servers (we need for each guild an account) we asked to get help from the community, and that's where the partner guilds come into play. Many of them have also no requirements and are happy about new members. Just as a tip. The guild selection stays yours.
