This addon allows you to use the fast travel functionality of the game in a comfortable and highly-customizable way. All fast travel options you have through your guilds, friends and group are listed in a clear way and are usable with different search and filtering features. To get the most out of it, as with any other addon, it is recommended to check the settings after initial installation.

BeamMeUp Community is live
We run 4 BeamMeUp guilds on NA and EU server. Everyone is welcome, no requirements or obligations! Only through your membership and activity do we all benefit from free fast travel options! You find our guilds by clicking on the guild button in the upper left corner of the addon interface or via the guild finder.

All features:
  • Search, Filter, Favorite, Customize
    • Sorted list of all fast travel options and much additional information
    • Search by player or zone names
    • Easily port to Group Leader or Group Members in Dungeons (always on top) and see if they are in the same game instance as you
    • Set specific players or zones as favorites and easily port to them via keybinding
    • Use the different tabs to find Fast Travel options to the open/displayed map (world map) and also to the Delves located there
    • Use filters and blacklists and many other options to customize your personal filtering (e. g. show only Overland maps or hide different types of zones)
    • Filter by only group, friends or guild members via the right-click menu
    • Display only one entry for each zone or see all players you can travel to
    • Change the sorting and configure the number of entries (number of visible lines)

    • Unlock unknown wayshrines in your current zone with just one click and only about ten seconds, depending on your Fast Travel options
    • You will see appearing the new wayshrines on the map and then you can use them without a need of riding to them or manual discovering

  • Connect Treasure & Survey Maps and Leads with found Travel Options
    • See where your Treasure and Survey maps (from inventory and bank) and scryable leads are located and travel to them immediately with just one click
    • If no Fast Travel options are available for the item corresponding zones, you still can see where the maps are located

  • Connect Active Quests with found Travel Options
    • As with Treasure and Survey Maps, see in which zones you have active quests
    • Identify repeatable quests by its blue color

    • Manually add a player to favorites (e.g. /bmu/favorites/add/player @DeadSoon 1) (player name and slot)

    • Set a second language for searching for zone names
      • Set another main language in the options
      • You can search by zone names in your client and in this second language at the same time
      • The Tooltip of zone names shows also the name in the second language

    • Receive a notification when a player favorite comes online
      • Enable this option to see a short notification/center screen message when a favorite player enters the game

    • Intelligent error handling
      • Detection of errors while porting and output of a note in the chat
      • When an error occurs while porting (player you try to port to is in the loading screen) the Addon automatically starts a port process to another player

    • Share your travel destination via the chat
      • If you right-click on the travel button, the teleport will start as usual but, additionally a clickable Link will be printed into the group chat (you have to press Enter!). Your group member can follow you by clicking on the Link (this also allows you to share your houses)

    • Integration into Bandits User Interface
      • A button for BeamMeUp is automatically inserted into the sidebar of Bandits User Interface Addon

    • Useful notification while mining a survey map
      • If you mine a survey map and there are still some identical maps (same location) in your inventory, a notification (center screen message) will inform you (disabled by default).

    • Useful offline reminder
      • If you stay offline for a while while using BMU or whispering to someone, a discrete screen message will remind you that you are still set to offline. This feature helps to avoid unwanted blocking of replies and accidentally staying offline (enabled by default!).


  • Meaning of Colors:
    • GOLD = player and zone favorites
    • ORANGE = Group members
    • GREEN = Friends
    • BLUE = current zone (where your character actual is)

Known Bugs:
  • No players you can port to / empty result list
    • Remember, free fast travel is only possible to your personal group members, friends or guild members. So first of all, you should check if any of your contacts are online and in a "normal" zone (no instance or pvp zone).
    • If you still cannot see any port options, check your addon settings. You can also try resetting them to defaults.
    • Finally, disable all other addons except BMU and its libraries and test again. Especially, language patches can corrupt ingame functions that are used by BMU.
  • Wayshrine discovery issues
    • When using BeamMeUp together with the addon GuildShrines with the option "show unknown wayshrines" enabled, the auto-discovery/auto-unlock feature might not work correctly. Disabling the option temporarily should solve the problem.
  • Missing icons
    • If you still cannot see any icons/buttons after the installation of the addon, please restart the complete game. Unfortunately, ESO loads custom icons only once at game start.
    • Also, please check if you installed the addon correctly and that the addon folder BeamMeUp is placed correctly in \Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\
    • If you then still cannot see the icons/buttons, please close the game and delete the file ShaderCache.cooked in the live folder.
    • In rare cases, the McAfee antivirus solutions can delete/block the icon files in the addon folder. You can try to disable the protection while downloading and installing the addon. You can also check if dozens of .dds files are in the /BeamMeUp/media/ folder.
  • Gamepad mode
    • The gamepad mode is currently not supported! Gamepad Mode users have to use the mouse (or keybind) to open the addon interface manually. If you notice any bugs while using the Gamepad Mode, please let us know!

I was not able to reproduce this issue. For me its working as expected and while BMU does not change any UI elements (expect from the wayshrine auto confirming feature, disbaled by default, see advanced settings) I dont believe that this is caused by BMU.

Just test it without BMU: Deactivate BMU in extension menu. Reload. Teleport to a guild member of your choice via the guild roster menu and check again.

strange behavior at wayshrines

When I port to a wayshrine via BMU (e.g. from a dungeon) and want to travel further pressing "E" the map opens and I can select another wayshrine. The strange thing is, that this would cost gold (like if I select a wayshrine on the map when I am not in a wayshrine). I have to leave the wayshrine and walk back into the wayshrine, then pressing "E" works normal and the port does not cost gold.

I cannot test if this depends on BMU or not, because with the standard UI it is not possible to do this and this is only since a few weeks.

I think, you are talking about a "lite" version of the addon, correct?
I understand your motivation to reduce any unsused/unnecessary addon load for performance reason. Of course this is the correct approach. We also are aware of this and try not to blow up or overload our addon. We always consider the performance impact when adding new features. Our approach is that we like to add features to customize/improve/extent existing basic functionalities while adding new functionalities only if they have no or only minimal performance impact.

However, while BMU "works" nearly only at time when the interface is open (or when triggered via a command), you dont have to fear any huge performance impact.

Bug in House Listing and a little wish

Hi, since the last update I am not able to select a house for that I have to scroll down in the list.
As soon I stop scrolling and want to select the house, the scroll list jumps on top and I have to scroll againe and again ... I made a short clip with this

And a little wish - You have an option to remove the article for better sorting which works well for wayshrines.
Could you remove the articles of houses too ?

I am talking not about the main BMU screen, but the expanded zone screen here that lists everyone and everything in the zone.

Sound like a strange bug. It was not reported before and I was not able to reproduce it.

  1. Please deactivate all addons except BMU and its libraries and test again.
  2. Then activate all addons one by one and check when the issue appears (I assume an addon for chat or items)
  3. Let me know which addon causes this incompatibility.

I like beam me up, it's a great help and I have pity with all these console players they dont have addons at all. You have implemented most used, but this does not reflect current needs fast enough. Therefore I would appreciate if you could insert a sorting for last used too. This would react faster to changes. To be more precise, I am referring to own houses too.
Thanks for that feature request. I will place it on my wish list. Since the effort for the implementation is much higher than for other sorts, I can't promise anything yet.

Bug with chat message for unlocked shrines

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, but when I use the unlock function and it says "You must physically visit this wayshrine" the link is actually the last item I linked in chat. I just did it a minute ago and it told me I needed to visit a runebox for the witches bonfire. It's done it each time I've used the unlock function.

It can happen that the chat output ("the following wayshrines ...") is missing in zones that share the same zone completion info. A few DLCs ago, ZOS started with these spitted zones which belongs together. Such situations are difficult to handle and are most of the time exceptions that need to be handled in the code directly.

2.
Because of the same challenge, the wayshrine discovery in Fargrave does not work if you have the wrong submap open. You can check if you have a different behavior if you see the complete map (Fargrave and the shambles) or if you click on the submaps (only Fargrave) when you start the unlocking.

However, I will take a look into it again (especially for 2.) and try to find some improvements for the actual process. This DLC is the most spitted and annoying zone update so far.
