Item Cooldown Tracker  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.6
by: @DeadSoon [More]
This addon tracks automatically the loot cooldown of specific items.

Some special items have a 20 hours cooldown after looting and can be tracked with this addon. It automatically records the time when you receive the item. Item tooltips of the container display the cooldown information and a dialog will warn you if you try to open a container with active cooldown. Furthermore, you can check all cooldown times via chat command "/ict" manually. The addon helps you to prevent opening containers or completing/hand in quests although you can not receive the valuable item/reward.

Dependencies:
You need to install the following libraries separately:
LibAddonMenu-2.0
LibDialog

The following items are currently supported:
  • Arena Gladiator's Proof (from conquest board dailies in Cyrodiil ("Gladiator's Rucksack"))
  • Siege of Cyrodiil Merit (from PvE dailies in Imperial City/Sewers ("Siegemaster's Coffer"))
  • New Moon Priest Style Pages (crate on Tideholm, which can be looted every day)
  • Uncracked Transmutation Geode (from PvP Mail Reward ("Rewards for the Worthy"))
  • Loot from "Remains-Silent" (outlaw refuges)
  • Wayward Guardian Style Pages (from "Ardanir's" daily quest in the Reach)
  • Black Fin Legion Style Pages (from "Deetum-Jas's" daily quest in Blackwood)
  • Ivory Brigade Style Pages (from "Britta Silanus's" daily quest in Blackwood)
  • House Hexos Style Pages (from "Luna Beriel's" daily quest in Fargrave)
  • Fargrave Guardian Style Pages (from "Vaveli Indavel's" daily quest in Fargrave)

Important:
  • First, you need to set in the addon settings which items you want to track
  • You will see the cooldown details (if expired or how long you have to wait) in the tooltip of the containers in your inventory + in the item tooltip of mail attachments + in the item tooltip of quest reward dialogs
  • If you try to open a container with an active cooldown, a dialog will warn/prevent you from accidental opening. Of course, you still have the choice to open the container (may not work reliably, there are two different options, please check the addon settings).

How to use:
Go to the addon settings:
  1. Select the item(s) you want to track/untrack from the dropdown list
  2. Click on the button to track or to untrack the selected item(s)
  3. When you collect a tracked item, the addon automatically logs the current time.
  4. Dialogs and tooltips prevent you from opening containers to early.
  5. Type /ict into the chat to see all cooldown times
  6. NEW: Mark container with active cooldown via FCO ItemSaver automatically.

Feel free to contact me if you want me to add another item(s) to the dropdown. (Comment/PM on ESOUI or Discord: DeadSoon#9951)

-----------------------------------

Detailed Item Description:

Arena Gladiator's Proof
You get this fragment item by completing the daily quests from the conquest board in Cyrodiil ("Gladiator's Rucksack"). You can do several of these quests a day but the fragment will drop only once every 20 hours.

Siege of Cyrodiil Merit
You get this fragment item by completing the PvE daily quests in Imperial City ("Siegemaster's Coffer"). You can do several of these quests (for each district) a day but the fragment will drop only once every 20 hours.

New Moon Priest Style Pages
If you fulfill the prerequisites (main quest), you can loot a crate on Tideholm directly in front of the quest giver 'Dirge Truptor' once a day. The crate is reset daily at the same time but the style pages can only be looted once every 20 hours (no save drop!).

Uncracked Transmutation Geode
You get this transmutation geode from the PvP mail reward "Rewards for the Worthy". All 20 hours you have a save drop of this geode. As long as the cooldown is active your chance will be lower to get a geode out of the reward.

Loot from "Remains-Silent"
If you unlocked the passive skill 'Shadowy Supplier' (Dark Brotherhood) you will find the NPC in any outlaw refuges (Dark Brotherhood symbol). Once every 20 hours, you can request potions, equipment, edicts, and more.

Wayward Guardian Style Pages
If you fullfill the prerequisites (main quest Markarth), you can complete daily quests from the quest giver 'Ardanir'. As a reward, there is a chance to receive a style page. After receiving a style page, there is a cooldown of 20 hours, during which the chance of receiving additional style pages is significantly lower.

Black Fin Legion Style Pages
You have a chance to receive a style page by completing the daily quest (delves) from quest giver 'Deetum-Jas' in Blackwood. After receiving a style page, there is a cooldown of 20 hours, during which the chance of receiving additional style pages is significantly lower.

Ivory Brigade Style Pages
You have a chance to receive a style page by completing the daily quest (world bosses) from quest giver 'Britta Silanus' in Blackwood. After receiving a style page, there is a cooldown of 20 hours, during which the chance of receiving additional style pages is significantly lower.

House Hexos Style Pages
You have a chance to receive a style page by completing the daily quests (delve) from quest giver 'Luna Beriel' in Fargrave. After receiving a style page, there is a cooldown of 20 hours, during which the chance of receiving additional style pages is significantly lower.

Fargrave Guardian Style Pages
You have a chance to receive a style page by completing the daily quests (world bosses) from quest giver 'Vaveli Indavel' in Fargrave. After receiving a style page, there is a cooldown of 20 hours, during which the chance of receiving additional style pages is significantly lower.
2.6:
- fixed tracking of 'Rewards for the Worthy' from battlegrounds rewards (ZOS changed the ID)
- added tracking support for the new 'Fargrave Guardian' style pages (world bosses quest in Fargrave) --> dont forget to enable the tracking in the addon settings

2.5:
- request of prioritized saving of the savedVars after collecting a tracked item
- API dump

2.4:
- the cooldown information in the item's tooltip is now also displayed for mail attachments and in quest reward dialogs

2.3:
- NEW: the cooldown information of tracked containers is now displayed in the item's tooltip

- added API functions for FCOIS integration

2.2:
- fixed a lua error
- you now have the option to switch between two modes of "Warning of opening too early"
(the old one with the limitation that you cannot use items from the inventory while in combat OR the new one without limitation but works less reliable and only when opening via double-click)

2.1:
- fixed issue that it was not possible to use items from the inventory while in combat (only if the "Warning of opening too early" option was enabled)
-> now, the feature works only when opening containers via double click

2.0:
- added House Hexos Style Pages (Fargrave/Deadlands)
- new setting to disable the warning dialog (that prevents you from opening containers too early)

1.9:
- added Black Fin Legion Style Pages (Blackwood, daily for delves)
- added Ivory Brigade Style Pages (Blackwood, daily for world bosses)
- small adjustments
- API update

1.8:
- fixed the tracking of the Cyrodiil's "Rewards for the Worthy" loot boxes (due to the new ID)

1.7:
- savedVars are now sever dependent -> your current settings/cooldowns stay, but further changes are saved server dependent
- API update

1.6:
- changed control name to resolve incompatibility with addon "IC The Next Boss"

1.5:
- added new trackable item(s): Wayward Guardian Style Pages (from daily quests from "Ardanir" in the Reach)
- API update

1.4:

- added new trackable item(s): Loot from "Remains-Silent" (NPC can be found in any outlaw refuges (Dark Brotherhood symbol))
- API update

1.1:
- added a one-time dialog to inform the user that the addon must be set up in the settings first
- added LibDialog as a dependency

1.0:
- added new trackable item: Uncracked Transmutation Geode from PVP Mail Reward ('Rewards for the Worthy')
- improved display of the cooldown time
- added detailed item descriptions in the settings menu

0.3:

Check out FCOIS comments -> 1st sticky post's "bottom lines" about the FCOIS beta version:
https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info....html#comments
Logout and backup your savedvariables before testing it please!

It adds automatic mark settings for Item Cooldown Tracker now. Hope all is working as expected and I'd love some feedback over in FCOIS comments at best. Thanks

@DeadSoon if this okay with you write me a PM with details abou your API/global function to use for that
I welcome this idea! Such an integration would be a great benefit to all FCOItemSaver user. Because I think most of the programming effort is on your end, I thank you right now. I write you a PM to communicate the API details.
I had only a simple solution on my mind like borrowing a few lines form a simple addon like Set Collection Marker. No customisation at all.
The integration with FCO ItemSaver has a lot more useful features that I did not think about.
Thank you both for your effort.

Also thank you so much for all your cool addons. I use all of em and super helpful in so many ways.
Thank you!

1. Regarding the warning dialog:
Unfortunately, I have found no way so far to prevent the item opening as before but without the known issue with the combat.
In long term: Im still looking for better solution.
In short term: I implement both options. The user can switch between the option a and b. The user can consider the pro and con personally. Option b will be the default one.
  • a: Prevents perfectly the opening of the containers as before but the user will no longer be able to use items directly from the inventory while in combat (of course, quick slots are not effected).
  • b: Prevents only the opening via double click (unfortunately, seems not to work for everyone )

2. Regarding tooltip:
While I was in contact with Baertram, he helped me to identify a suitable way to add a note to the items tooltip. So I will implement this feature in the next version.
Again, a big thank you to Baertram

3.
Baertram and I work on an integration scenario for FCO Item Saver. So you will be able to utilize to comprehensive power of FCOIS for the tracked container items.

-----

Update 2.2
- implementation of 1.
- fixed also a lua error caused by the option b

Update 2.3 is planned to follow with item tooltip info and the basis for the FCOIS integration.

That's strange and I have no idea. Preventing on double-click should really work and it do for me. Can anyone else confirm anything?

Otherwise we need to wait until the FCOIS integration is ready.

For me, it works. However, it is quite possible that any addon (or game setting) make a difference so that the game's code behaves different. My current problem is that I hook into the game's code earlier then before.

Could be a bit tricky as FCOIS relies on the bagId and slotIndex -> itemInstanceId (or the "unique ids" of items -> depending on the user settings). We will see what we can use and find out here, so it might take some time to implement this.

AND one issue could happen: automatically removing the marker icons again will not be exactly at the time as the cooldown is gone!
But as you e.g. scroll the inventoy list next time or change a filter, or refresh the inventory list somehow.
But I guess this should be ok, especially in terms of performance, as having to check every second if the cooldown is gone would be too heavy and lag the inventories imo.

This should be enough for the boxes to update as the inventory is somehow refreshed as you e.g. need to scroll the box into view.
Only if you open the inv, use a box and let the inventory stay there until the cooldown is gone (for the boes this addon here tracks this will be hours later as fa as I understood so should never happen) it would not update until you scroll a bit.

Something like Craftstore adds for unknown recipes or icons you see in FCO ItemSaver or Research Assistant. So that you see the on cooldown status directly in the inventory and are not tempted to open a container that is on cooldown.
I can use the /ict command for most of the supported items, but Black Fin Legion and Ivory Brigade have the same container icons and names but different ids and after getting one of them they have different cooldowns.

Thanks
Snow

@deadsoon thank you soo much for coming up with a workaround, this should help immensely.

@Baertram As an extensive FCO Item Saver user, I would find this to be amazing! Great ideas and love the integration suggestion

Fix/adjustment of the warning dialog feature
