BeamMeUp - Teleporter (Fast Travel)
Version: 1.2.0
by: @DeadSoon, Gamer1986PAN
This Addon allows you to use the fast travel functionality of the game in a comfortable way. All fast travel options you have through your guilds, friends and group are listed in a clear way and are usable with different search and filtering features.

Features:
  • Sorted list of all fast travel options and additional information
    • Search by player or zone names
    • Easily port to Group Leader or Group Members in Dungeons (always on top)
    • Use filters and blacklists to customize your filtering
    • Display only one entry for each zone or see all players you can travel to
    • Identify different types of zones by its icon (Delve, Dungeon, ...)
    • Display only Overland-Zones (able to show delves and public dungeons by 'Only Delves in Current Zone' Tab)
  • Easily navigate through the zones by clicking on the zone name
    • Get a better overview where the dungeon entrance is located with the map ping
    • With installed Skyshard display Addon make faster decisions possible whether a fast travel is worthwhile
  • Connect treasure and survey maps with found options to simplify your collection process
  • Unlock automatically wayshrines in your zone in just one second, depending on your fast travel options
  • Keybinding to personalize your usage

Upcoming features:
  • Map Rally Point working with all Dungeon entrances that are connected to a map pin (Murkmire Update)
  • Option to set favorites (zones and players) + keybinding for porting to favorites
  • Updating the French translation
  • Icon to open UI
  • Recognition of more types/categories of zones
  • Blacklist improvements
  • ...

Known Bugs:
  • MapPing does not appear when LibMapPing is not installed (will be fixed in next release)

Notice:
We are still in the beginning with our Addon. If you find any kind of bugs or you have a good idea for new features or suggestions for better translation, please tell us .
Especially for the French translation we need help! If you want to translate into other languages feel free to do so and put it in the comments.
To reduce problems with incompatibilities for the mass of our users in the future we have started a Beta-Channel. If you want the changes we made before its official released, feel free to check it out and let us know there if you have any problems. Here you can find the Beta-Channel.

This Addon is based on the well known "Luminary - Teleporter". At this point special Thanks to @awesomebilly for his pioneering work.
1.2.0:
- NEW: Clicking on zone names will open the specific map
- NEW: Clicking on Delves or Public Dungeons will open the parent map and a Map Ping will show you the exact position of the entrance (Group Rally Point - remove i.e. via "SHIFT+right mouse click"; with our first patch shortly after Murkmire release this feature will be greatly improved and will work for all Locations/Subzones)
- NEW: Auto Refresh when the Teleporter stays open
- Group Leader and Group Members who are in Group Dungeons will always be displayed on the top
- fixed bug where an error occurs when LibAddonMenu is not installed separately
- more keybind options
- more Blacklists and configuration options
- various major improvements

1.1.4:
- fixed bug that the counter how many wayshrines you have unlocked is lower than the real value
- fixed singular/plural text bug in the wayshrine-unlock feature chat output
- click on "Brass Fortress" now opens the map of "Clockwork City"
- saved gold counter counts only ports to overland wayshrines

1.1.3:
- fixed bug that treasure maps in Wrothgar were not displayed (EN/FR client)
- fixed bug that very rarely survey/treasure maps did not show up in the list
- fixed lua error that appears when the player did not belong to any guild

1.1.2:
- fixed visual bug which appears together with "Votan's Minimap" (unwanted button frame)
- new keybind options
- information about how many wayshrines you have unlocked will be displayed
- minor improvement of the logging of saved gold
- several minor improvements

1.11:
- removed incompatibility issues with Votan's Minimap - Thanks to Votan
- API bump to Murkmire 100025 as there were no lua-Errors for me while testing (still need to categorize new zones)

1.1:
- added French translation - Thanks to @Hypnos882382
- Keybinding - the UI can now be used standalone without the world map
- Option to show only overland maps / regions
- few improvements
- added incompatibility issues with Votan's Minimap (hope we can find a quick fix)

1.02:
- Bugfix for Wayshrine-Unlock feature - that's why you should not delete files if they are necessary - hopefully we learned our lesson ;)

1.01:
- Bugfix in English and French client (survey maps) - Thanks to Chivana for the report

Re: Request

Thanks for your request. In general it is not hard to implement. Nevertheless we have to see, when we have the time and resources to realize that (first we have to finish some other features which are already in the pipeline)

What does it do, exactly, and how do you get it to work. Nothing seemed to happen when I tried.
You have to be on a map, where some other players are online (guilds, friend-list or group)
If you click on the Wayshrine unlock feature our Addon initiates a fast travel to every player in your current zone without actually travel to that player.
If you take a look at your chat tab where every other addon should print their chat-outputs you should have something like that (in your game-language):

can you take a look and confirm that?
Hi, sorry for my delayed response. You're right, it worked exactly like you described. I guess my problem before was that I didn't know what to look out for. Thanks.
Alright, glad your Problem is solved. Hope you can enjoy this and our other features.

Hey Baertram,
thanks for your work. Today I did a first short quick test of the functions lib:GetZoneNamesByIds and lib:GetZoneName which are most interesting for me. Works like expected and I will test more (and properly start real implementation) in the next days. I will give you more feedback in time

And also thanks for your hint regarding function formatName. I will adjust this code part.

And functions to get the localized zone names, or the zone data (containing the zoneIndex, and the zone's parent [-> Only API version >= 100025])
I think you can use this function at best:
Lua Code:
  1. --Get the localized zone data by help of a table containing the zoneIds
  2. -->zoneIdsTable: Table containing a number index as key and the zoneId as value
  3. -->e.g. zoneIdsTable = {1, 3, 36, 1200} or zoneIdsTable[1] = 1, zoneIdsTable[2] = 3, zoneIdsTable[3] = 36, zoneIdsTable[4] = 1200
  4. --->Returns table containing the zone names
  5. --->Key = number ZoneId
  6. --->Value = String Localized zone name
  7. --->Example: returnTable[3] = "Glenumbra"
  8. function lib:GetZoneNamesByIds(zoneIdsTable, language)

========================================

What info do you got and compare if you search for the "zone name" in the edit field?
Do you have a lookup table for the current available zoneNames (from group, friendslistm guilds) containing the zoneId ?

I got a table with zoneData[language][zoneId] = {
["name"] = String "Zone name here",
["zoneIndex"] = number zoneIndex
["parentZone"] = number zoneId of parent zone -- ONly on PTS, API100025 Murkmire
}

So if you got a table with the zoneIds to search through, you can get the English texts for the zoneNames via the zoneIds and search through the English names then with the text the user entered into the zone search edit field.

I'd provide you a function like
Code:
local localizedZoneNames = LibDialog:GetZoneNamesByIds(zoneIdsTable, language)
where you pass the zoneIds you have in the "available guild mates, friends, group list" as a table in parameter "zoneIdsTable"
Lua Code:
  1. local zoneIdsTable = {
  2.   [1] = number zoneIdToGetTheNameFor,
  3.   [2] = number zoneIdToGetTheNameFor,
  4.   [3] = number zoneIdToGetTheNameFor,
  5. }
for the desired language in parameter "language" (if it's empty it will return the client language).
Lua Code:
  1. local language = "en"

And you'll get a table containing the localized zoneNames via the zoneId:
Lua Code:
  1. localizedZoneNames = {
  2.   [number zoneId] = String "Zone Name localized",
  3. }
And I found some function in your addon which you may strip as it is already there, easier and faster
Code:
function formatName(unformatted)
in file TeleporterChecker.lua
First: This is a global function which might get overwritten by other addons! So better put this into your addon namespace like
Code:
function BeamMeUp.formatName
And you can replace it with this simply and fast code:
Lua Code:
  1. function BeamMeUp.formatName(unformatted)
  2.    if unformatted then return zo_strformat("<<C:1>>", unformatted) end
  3. end
-> See here: http://www.esoui.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1443

Mark teh whole entry in the search edit field via CTRL+A or by mouse selection and remove it via DEL/backspace key.

I see no way to get the zone names from the API in other languages than only the current client language. The only way to realize such a feature requires a translation table which comes with huge additional maintenance costs. Also the complexity of the whole search functionality rises.

Sorry, but at this moment I see no realization in the next few releases.

New Update on the Beta-Channel http://www.esoui.com/downloads/filei...p?id=2153#info

Take a look and help us find bugs and incompatibilities.

1.2.0:
- NEW: Clicking on zone names will open the specific map
(it did before but the new Mouseover makes it more intuitive)
- NEW: Clicking on Delves or Public Dungeons will open the parent map and a Map Ping (Group Rally Point - remove i.e. via "SHIFT+right mouse click") will show you the exact position of the entrance)
(with our first patch shortly after Murkmire release this feature will be greatly improved and will work for all Locations)
- NEW: Auto Refresh when the Teleporter stays open
- fixed bug where an error occurs when LibAddonMenu is not installed seperatly
- more keybind options
- more Blacklists and configuration options
