Okay, we have a couple more important things to let you guys know about that have resulted from the patch:

First, it seems that there has been a change (we think bug, but getting that verified) to the Saved Variables files, which includes your AddOns settings. Previously they were saved under your ["@username"]. It seems that they are saved under [""] now. What this means is that if you log into the game without having made the necessary change in your files, and if you didn't keep a backup of them, all your addon settings will be reverted to the default settings. If you haven't yet logged in, or if you have a backup of them, there is a fix you can use. All you need to do is:
  • Go to your Documents folder (the same one that you had to use to install your addons)
  • Go to your Elder Scrolls folder
  • Go to your Live folder
  • Go to your SavedVariables folder
  • MAKE A BACKUP OF THIS FOLDER!
  • You should see a listing of files for each addon you used. They will be named [AddOnName].lua
  • You can open those files using any text editor (I'd say just use NotePad). Right click the file name, choose Open With and pick whatever editor you want to use
  • Somewhere close to the top of the .lua file will be a line that says ["@Username"]
  • Change that to replace ["@Username"] with [""].
  • Save and close.
Do this for each of the addon .lua files that you have in that folder. Once you've done all of them, you should be able to log into the game and not lose all your settings now.

If it turns out that this was a bug introduced with this patch and Zenimax reverts it, you'll be able to just drop your backup of the SavedVariables folder back in and be all set again. You did make the backup we told you to make, right?!

Next, Zenimax has added an AddOn Terms of Use to the game. If you want to use AddOns in the game, you will need to agree to it before you can use them. The first time you click on the AddOns button in game it will bring the agreement up for you to accept. It reads as follows:

ADD-ON TERMS

ADD-ONS

UI

Guild Store
  • The Guild Store has had several updates done to make it easier to filter items:
  • It is now possible to filter by Veteran Rank ranges in the Guild Store. The button appears to the left of the level range label and, when clicked, will change the level range to a VR range.
  • Weapons and Armor can now be filtered by Trait.
  • Crafting materials can now be filtered more easily. This update adds support for more detailed criteria when looking for an item for a given profession.
  • For example, in Blacksmithing you can now specify what you’re looking for relevant to Blacksmithing: Motifs, Style Materials, a specific Armor/Weapon Trait, Raw Materials, Refined Materials, and Tempers.
  • Food is no longer listed in two places in the filters. It now only shows up under the Consumables category.
  • When performing a new filter, the page is reset to page 0.
  • When going to the next/previous page in filter results, the scroll bar now resets to the top of the page.
Maps
  • Fixed an issue where the map would not zoom properly in Belkarth.
  • Map pins for other player characters in your group will now appear in their proper locations.
  • Fixed an issue in various areas where quest pins would not match up between the map and compass.
  • Updated the Spindleclutch map to more accurately reflect the space.
  • Updated the map of Loriasel to be more accurate.
  • All areas of Earth Forge are now included on the map.

Tooltips
  • Clarified the tooltip for Armor of the Seducer.
  • Edited the tooltip text for the Mage Trial Set bonus.
  • Updated the combat tips so they better reflect the correct key presses after rebinding the associated keys.

I am getting in touch with Zenimax to see if we can get some information on the changes to the API. I'll update this as appropriate.
[Edit] Okay, I just heard back from Zenimax and I 'should' have API notes by tomorrow.
As this is the first content patch for ESO, there are likely many of you that have never experienced one. This post is intended to help you get through it, at least in so far as dealing with your addons.

Often when a content patch is pushed, there are changes to the User Interface API that authors use to create their addons. If there are changes to the API, there is usually a change in the version number as well. These API changes may break some addons, either temporarily or permanently, depending on the changes in question. The change in the version number means that all addons will be marked as "out of date" until the author has a chance to update the version number of their addon.

Most authors will not update the version number for their addon until they have had a chance to test their addon in-game to make sure that it is still working properly and, if necessary, 'fix' it to work with the new API changes.

While authors will do everything they can to make sure that their addons are working, please remember that they, just like you, have to:
  1. download the patch
  2. wait for the server to come back on-line
  3. and then find out if their addon is still working
If it isn't working they then have to:
  1. figure out what the changes to the API are and how they've affected their addon
  2. make the necessary changes to the addon
  3. check in-game again to make sure that the fix has worked
  4. rinse and repeat if it hasn't
Then they have to
  1. change the version number
  2. package it up
  3. write up their change log
  4. submit it to the site(s)
  5. and wait for it to be approved
Most of the authors (so far, at least) have more than one addon that they've written, so they have to do this for each of them. It takes time.

Now, in many cases, the addons will be working just fine with the patch. They will just be marked as "out of date", along with all the rest. What you can do while waiting for the author to push out their update is to go to the "AddOns" tab on the in-game menu and simply check the "Use Out of Date" check box. Most likely the majority of the addons you are using will work just fine with that. In that case - "Yay!" just use as is until the author bumps the version number.

If you find that an addon is not working, then disable it in the same "AddOns" tab on the in-game menu. Next, go to the site(s) that you have downloaded the addon from and check to see if the error has already been reported to the author, or if they've already commented that they know there is a problem. If there hasn't been a report, or a comment by the author, then go ahead and let them know. Give what details you can, provide a screenshot of any error messages you may have seen, etc. Then just keep an eye out to see when the author is able to provide an updated version.

But please, be patient. Remember that they have to go through all the same stuff as you, plus then fixing it. And also remember that they, like you, have other responsibilities as well. They have jobs, families, school, whatever. They write these addons as a hobby, in their spare time. Give them time.

TL;DR Use the "load out of date" check box on the addon menu in-game, watch for updates from the authors, and be patient.

OVERVIEW

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v1.1.2. This version contains our first major content update: the Adventure Zone Craglorn, as well as many other fixes and refinements.

You’ll need allies to take on the new challenges—Craglorn’s quests and exploration are designed for groups of four Veteran Rank 10+ characters. (You can enter Craglorn and play the content earlier than Veteran Rank 10.)

We’ve also added our first Trials in Craglorn, 12-player adventures meant to test even the strongest heroes. In Trials, your team will have a limited number of resurrections to use as you attempt to reach the final boss. If you finish the Trial quickly, you might earn a place on the leaderboards and receive extra rewards!

Another new feature is the Death Recap. This screen will help you understand what contributed to your death and hints that can help improve your performance next time.

Alongside the new content, we’re deploying bug fixes and improvements to make your adventures in Tamriel even better. You’ll see fixes for quests and skill line abilities, updates to systems and quests in Cyrodiil (including bonuses for outnumbered alliances), and much more.

We’re looking forward to your feedback so get in, group up, and enjoy Craglorn and the rest of the update!

UI

General
  • Revised the messaging when you use /stuck so the text gives you clearer feedback.
  • Fixed an issue when you turned in a quest to an NPC and leveled up, and the experience bar would still appear to be full.
  • Fixed an issue when launching the game in full screen, and occasionally you would be using the incorrect resolution.
  • If you lose focus of the game (due to clicking outside of the game window), clicking back on the game window will now take into account if you clicked something on the HUD. It will use this to determine whether you should be put into the mouse cursor mode or targeting mode.
  • For example, clicking on the chat window while the game is out of focus, will bring the game back into focus with the cursor. Clicking on the world while the game is out of focus, will bring the game back into focus with the target reticle.
  • Fixed an issue within the split stack dialogue that was preventing you from typing into the text field.
Alliance War
  • Fixed an issue if you took all the resources of a keep in Cyrodiil around the same time, the icons would not update in real time.
  • Fixed an issue after setting a home campaign, and the Overview UI would overlay on top of the screen.
Chat
  • All chat messages are now limited to 350 characters.
  • Fixed an issue with Guild Officer chat. It will now work properly.
Crafting
  • Fixed an issue if a Smith created an item and had less material left than required to make it again, and adjusting the amount down did not update the UI properly.
Gameplay
  • Fixed an issue where veteran-rank stat increases were not displaying in the UI.
  • Fixed an issue where some Mundus Stone buffs were appearing incorrectly in the UI.
  • Note: This did not affect your stats.
  • Fixed an issue where you would occasionally have the prompt to resurrect an ally, even if you were significantly out of range.
  • The player-to-player prompt now indicates when a target is being resurrected, and when they have already received a resurrection.
Guild Store
  • Fixed an issue where guild store glyph filters only specified "Glyph" and not the type (for example: Armor Glyph, Weapon Glyph & Jewelry Glyph.)
HUD
  • Added a new overhead icon for group leaders.
Itemization
  • Fixed an issue where some light chest armor and shields that were combined with gold quality magicka enchantments appeared incorrectly in the UI
  • Note: This did not affect your stats.
Maps
  • Volenfell: You will no longer be shown as off the map or in the wrong location while in the Guardian’s Orbit, The Guardian’s Skull, or The Eye’s Chamber.
  • Updated the icons for public and instanced dungeons to better delineate public dungeons from delves:
  • The icon for delves is a torch.
  • The icon for a public dungeon is a torch with a plus sign (+).
  • The icon for an instanced 4-man dungeon are crossed torches.
Tooltips
  • Fixed an issue where items with no sell value would still display a value in the item tooltip.
  • Addressed minor text issues in trait tooltips on clothing stations.
  • Fixed an issue where quest item tooltips were not showing the quest item name in all capitals and had no icon.

Our friends at ZAM Network have officially launched ESOutpost.com, a heavily requested service allowing players to buy and trade gold/items using a web based interface and companion add-on. One of the most discussed features not present in Elder Scrolls Online is a public auction house, and the game’s developer, Zenimax, has already stated that they have no plans to create one. ESOutpost.com plans to fill that void with a fully featured, user-friendly experience.

Want to list some items for trade? Check out this short video:

The AddOn is available on Minion and also right here.

We are happy to announce that our Minions arrived a little while ago and, although they still need a bit more training before they are fully housebroken*, are now big enough to be adopted! We are really excited about it and we hope you will be too!

Minion: A free, eager-to-please little monster lackey of your own, with enough sense to stick to orders! Minion can handle all the 'work' assigned, letting you get back to the 'serious business' of playing your game sooner.

You can go here to get your very own Minion. Please use this forum to provide feedback and receive support.

Be sure to make a backup of your AddOn and Saved Variables folders before running Minion.

Hello All,
Just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm currently working on version 0.4 of Combat Reticle and the next big feature will be rotating reticle images. The idea behind this (really the whole point of Combat Reticle) is to make the combat-mode reticle more visible while engaged in large PvP battles. The fact that you can configure other reticle modes was initially a side effect, but has turned out to be quite useful in-game (I've gone minimalist).

Anyway, the rotation (a la Predator) will help draw your eye to the reticle and reduce the tendency to lose it in the chaotic background colors. I'm also considering color rotation as well, but that will be a bit more difficult to implement and result in even more blasted configuration options - plus I'm not sure how effective it will be. I may implement it just to see if I like it...

Just so everyone knows, I'm no longer playing ESO. I'm passing along all of the ownership of my addons to Harven who is a well established addon dev. Harven will be able to give the addons the proper care they need and add features that I haven't gotten around to messing with.

All-in-all this is a really good thing for anyone that use any of my Zolan addons. I have been neglecting them more than I'd like and putting them in the hands of someone that is excited about the game is just the right thing to do.

I hope you continue using and enjoying them and thanks for using them. I really enjoyed writing these addons and working with everyone.

So, with Update Three coming, and item searching coming with it, I'm looking to the future as far as what I should implement in Shopkeeper. I'm mostly happy with the feature set as it is (barring a few little bugs like the requests for older sales items being inconsistent), so I'd like to open it up to you users!

One thing that's been asked about is resizing the window - two things I've considered with this is a full window resizing routine like a normal desktop OS works, but the other (and probably far simpler for me) would be a different 'mini' view that would show a condensed version of the last 3-4 sales or something along those lines, with a button to toggle between the mini and full views (or close them altogether of course!).

Any input on that? Or any other suggestions? Love to hear them

All of you eyes candy lovers should check my newest addon Dwemer Clock, which was made in cooperation with my talented wife Maja. It's just a clock but looks really nice.

Hey!
I just made another simple addon that will add inventory space counter to the loot window. I had to move "Take" button below "Take all" to make some space for the new control. I also made the loot window background slightly taller. Grab the addon here
